Nora Jones is Mazzy Star? Is Nora Jones the same girl that was or is the lead singer of Mazzy Star? Both are under the same record lable and have exactly the same voice and look pretty much like the same person...are they the same person? | |

hope sandoval is the lead vocalist of mazzy star. their first cd is the best IMO.

Hope Sandoval the lead singer of Mazzy Star and Norah Jones are two different people.
Mazzy Star has recorded some of my favorite albums in the last decade. She Hangs Brightly - I never listened to it a whole lot but its not that bad. So Tonight That I Might See - Very cool and dark album. Contains their radio hit Fade Into You. Among My Swan - Fucking awesome album! "Ive Been Let Down" is a gem! I like every single track on this album and frequently listen to it from start to finish. Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions "Bavarian Fruit Bread" - Another fucking AMAZING album. This isn't an official Mazzy Star release but rather a side project with the drummer from My Bloody Valentine. It sure sounds like Mazzy Star though! More stripped down than previous work, its very subtle and beautiful. Gorgeous tracks. I LOVE cruising with my windows down, listening to "Clear Day". | |
