Beyoncé has decided to fire her whole management team prior to her rumored Super Bowl performance. The singer, who is rumored to join Coldplay on stage during halftime on Sunday, decided to axe everyone, even her cousin, starting a new in 2016 and probably a different chapter in her music career.

According to Page Six, Beyoncé has parted ways with her general manager Lee Anne Callahan-Longo, who has been managing Beyoncé for five years. Prior to that her father Mathew Knowles was managing her, but was allegedly fired for selling memorabilia on his front yard for a price that didn’t measure to what the items were worth. Although Knowles is very private about her personal life, the two are rumored to be on the outs.

As for the most recent firing, a source told Page Six the following.

“Beyoncé basically cleaned house, got rid of her whole team, which included her cousin, and hired a new team. She wants to surround herself with business people who could take her career to an even higher level.”

The source continued, “She has one album left to deliver before her deal is up with Columbia, plus she wants to make smarter decisions where it comes to touring, sponsorships and acting roles.”

Knowles rep said in a statement: “Lee Anne Callahan-Longo has worked with Beyoncé for the last 10 years. Their friendship supersedes business, and while she is no longer an employee of Parkwood, she will remain an imperative part of Beyoncé’s life.”

Even though Beyoncé fired her management team, it looks like she’s not letting this career snafu stop her in her tracks. The “Single Ladies” entertainer is rumored to have a new single that might be performed at the Super Bowl. This news comes from the reliable fan site Beyonce Legion. In a Facebook post, the Beyoncé fan site wrote the following.

“We’ve got some exclusive news! Beyoncé is set to perform a new song called ‘Formation’ at the Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show. Her bit with Bruno Mars will also be really fun. Get ready!!! [sic].”

Of course, even if the site is right about the upcoming Super Bowl performance, Beyoncé may change her mind and decide to perform something old, or have a mash up performance with Coldplay. Even though rehearsal has been going on for weeks, it’s typical for artists to make minor changes days before the show.

Although we don’t know for sure if Beyoncé will perform the song, or if she’ll even be at the Super Bowl, we do know that she was seen filming a new music video in Los Angeles on January 23. This aligns with the rumors that Beyoncé is going to be dropping new material.

The fact that this is all in secret isn’t a new trick for Beyoncé. The artist made history by dropping her full length album, Beyoncé, without any press leading up to the album. The record wound up being a massive success, and many artists have followed in suit in dropping an album by surprise.

It’s suspected that Beyoncé is choosing to drop material now since Adele has dominated the charts for weeks. Some believe Beyoncé didn’t drop at the same time out of respect for the singer.

What do you think of Beyoncé’s latest move in her career? Do you think dropping her general manager was a strategic move ahead of new music?

Her body is banging and the tune is wonderfully timed for Black History Month. Still, her vocal style gets more and more annoying every minute.

Let me get this straight
Beyonce delayed releasing her new album
out of respect for Adele
Instead she is going to release her album
right after Rihanna's new album
What does that say about her opinion of
Rihanna?

She talks about her fame, accolades, being the queen, fucking her husband, and haters? What does that have to do with Black History month? Showing boys with hoodies on does not make the song deep. Its a very stupid song and its not right how she is exploiting certain images in the video. The video has absolutely nothing to do with the song. Its all over the place.

The lines about hair and nose are more then she's EVER done for afrocentrism.

It might not be a lot but it's a start.

Coincidence how this came after appropriating Indian culture at a time white people are doing it everywhere cause it's trendy for them, not on her own terms. She looks cute in the new video but I feel she's doing it to prove a point more than cause she wants to

Beyonce doesn't deserve the platform that she has. She has a platform where she "really can say something" but she is clearly just a air headed "sex kitten". At least with Janet she had something to say and didnt just captilize off her looks, same with Madonna. I don't expect that much from Beyonce at this point, I just wish they stop comparing her to legends, it disrespectful

Jeez, I only tune in to what she's doing every couple of years when it happens to crop up here (the last I saw was 7/11), but each new tune seems more bereft of inspiration than the last. It's like the fruits of some terrible experiment where people have been kept locked in a blank, cold basement for years, devoid of stimulus and any of the vitality of life, feeding only on rapidly eroding memories of days when they once walked in the sunshine. And then the scientists give them instruments and recording devices and see what kind of sonic impressions these cruelly starved unfortunates come up with.

This had to be the biggest joke in this article. She just had enough common sense to not even try to release anything new close to that British Beast named Adele's album release. lol Respect my ass.
