Madonna True Blue Erotica Bedtime Stories Like A Virgin Like A Prayer You Can Dance Music I'm Breathless Ray Of Light American Life Confessions On A Dance Floor Give It To Me . I haven't heard the last 4 or 5, haven't heard Evita either other than the single. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

I'm gonna focus on just the Madonna studio albums only (no Evita and no hits compilations).....
1) Ray Of Light 2) Erotica 3) Like A Prayer 4) Confessions On A Dancefloor 5) Hard Candy 6) Rebel Heart 7) Bedtime Stories 8) MDNA 9) American Life 10)Music 11)Madonna 12)True Blue 13)Like A Virgin
as you can see,I'm one of those fans who doesn't believe that her first three albums are her best work I find most of her post-Ray Of Light work to be much more interesting and personal. And yes,Hard Candy is Number 5 on my list.

I'm not sure where I'm Breathless would be on my list. It's a fun, adventurous album and I like it alot, but I think of it as a "special side project" and not a proper Madonna album.

I guess I'm different than most fans.I think MDNA is a superb album. No,not every song is great but the highlights are incredible...
"Beautiful Killer"---honestly,how can you call yourself a Madonna and not like this song?!
"Falling Free"----the best ballad that Madonna has done in years! Her vocals are really impressive. This is the direction that she needs to move in,imo. She said herself that she wanted this to be a single.
"Love Spent"---This song is really interesting. The first part of the song sounds "modern",but the second part is straight from the 80s.A very clever track!
"I'm Addicted"---a hardcore dance track aimed at the clubs."I need to dance",Madonna says near the end of the song....it's hard to sit still during this song!
"Best Friend"----like "Miles Away" (the Hard Candy track that I love so much),this song has a wistful feel to it.The romance is over and all that's left are the sad memories.Madonna really excels on songs like these.
"Some Girls"----this is a JAM! The spoken/rap part near the beginning reminds me of Deborah Harry for some reason.
"Masterpiece"

My updated list, let us just say that Miss Ciccones post 2005 has yet to register! . 1. Like a Prayer - 10/10 (Perfection, her best sound, her best look) 2. The Immaculate Collection 10/10 (For Justify my love and Vogue alone) 3. True Blue - 9/10 (Really great pop album, and so bouncy) 4. Erotica - 9/10 (Both of these albums are really good and really show you where she was at) 5. Like A Virgin - 8/10 (Like True Blue, but a bit squeaky, couple of fillers) 6. Madonna First album - 8/10 (This is a very strong 1st album, the dance aesethics are first rate) 7. Bedtime Stories - 7/10 (Good in parts, but at times boring) 8. Something to Remember - 7/10 (Ballad collection from 1995 with You'll see and I'll Remember) 9. Music - 6.5/10 10. GHV2 - 6/10 11. Hard Candy - 6/10 (3 or 4 good songs and a party sound) 12. Ray of Light - 5/10 13. Confessions on a Dancefloor - 5/10 14. You can dance - 4/10 15. Whose that girl soundtrack - 4/10 16. Evita soundtrack - 3/10 Good in parts, but its dated and sounds oevrwrought. 17. American Life - 2/10 18. MDNA - 1/10 (Terrible, heard it once, didn't buy it) 19. Rebel Heart - 1/10 (She's lost it, Bitch I'm Madonna - really) . Videos 1. Justify my love 2. Vogue 3. Like a Prayer 4. Like a Virgin 5. Bad Girl (Took the hint from 2013, really love it now) 6. Erotica 7. Borderline 8. Papa don't Preach 9. Burnin Up (Camp hilarious and cheap like me!) 10. Material Girl [Edited 2/14/16 13:37pm] Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Good list, I usually love your taste, but can I ask nicely why you don't rate Erotica very highly? Just curious, because Erotica has grown on me the most of all her albums. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Oh shit I forgot I'm breathless, its very average, Vogus is great, Hanky Panky and the rest is not, so I would say a 3 or a 4. Should I count Celebration too?, as a DVD set its great, but missing the superlative videos to a few songs like Bad Girl, so a 9/10. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

I'm Addicted is perhaps the best song on the album in my opinion....single worthy more than that mess with MIA and Niki.
Best Friend ...the music is average, however the lyrics are autobiographical and she really pushed that again on Rebel Heart.
Some Girls is alright I thought it lost its edge by the middle section though Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

I think MDNA was on its way to being somthing solid and great. I just think her passion for W.E. sort of took its spot and she finished the album on a rush basis. Still I love many of the numbers from that album.
Rebel Heart was her passion project and has shamefully been ignored by the industry as the comeback that it should have been for her.

I do agree that she had too many things going on when MDNA was released. She didn't give it the proper promotion and attention it deserved.Even William Orbit was frustrated with the lack of time he had to work with her on the album.

Some Girls is alright I thought it lost its edge by the middle section though Imo,the singles from MDNA should have been: "Give Me All Your Lovin"----a teaser single strictly for the Super Bowl "I'm Addicted"----promoted as the "real" first single "Falling Free"----a refreshing change of pace "Beautiful Killer"

Madonna True blue Something to remember ( it's Madonna at her best) Like a virgin Music Ray of light Confessions on the dance floor American life All the rest are crap. 'Rebel heart' was unlistenable and still got decent reviews. Proof she still gets on her knees [Edited 2/9/16 12:30pm]
