As sad and heartbroken as I am that he's gone, I can't help but take some comfort in how he chose to leave us...embraced through his music. I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

I was shocked to hear the sad news this morning. I've been watching clips on Youtube of his Soul Train appearances. It's safe to say that there probably wouldn't have been Prince without David Bowie first. I had no idea he was ill....may he RIP. Sad news indeed... Trolls be gone!

Don't feel like something's wrong with you for feeling sad even though you didn't "know" him. We all have artists that we feel a connection to and it's perfectly normal. He'll be missed... Trolls be gone!

Man, this. That video fucked me up. My best friend just died of cancer in November at age 49 and he turned me on to Bowie in High School. I've been a huge fan ever since. Woke up this morning and the first thing my wife said to me was "David Bowie died". What a shitty way to start the week.

It was so strange this morning...I put the news on just after 8.00am and the BBC's top story was mid-flow. I couldn't work out why they were discussing his music. I was thinking "must be a slow news day if a Bowie tour announcement is the leading story". I was even thinking ahead to finance and when he might do the UK, if I could afford to go, if he might play Glasto this year again... www.filmsfilmsfilms.co.uk - The internet's best movie site!

I got my first Bowie album at age 12 or so, when I bought the reissue of "Low" at Strawberry Records. I had probably seen him on VH1 or something and took an interest. Before Bowie, I mainly listened to what my parents suggested, tedious classic rock like Rush and Styx. Personally . I think we are all Boring with No Lives cause all we do is talk about Prince,Criticize and Gossip. I need a Horny Man is what I Need and probably so do most of yas. Tin Machine played The Roxy in hollywood once, in the back the rain drain pipe if you climbed it it went right past windows n if open you could maybe sneak in. I did that and when I got to the window Bowie and the band were sitting right there on a couch, I looked at them n vice versa, I said "hey, they smiled. I couldnt hold my position n slipped off the pole which wasnt very high off the ground nor did I care. It was so awesome. I later saw TM at The Palladium twice. Fun times n great memorys. I saw him at the US Fest, he was the reason I went. Ive seen his shows everytime he came to LA. Autographed ticket stubs from Earl Slick n Garson. The Earthling show at The Universal Amp was so loud it hurt my ears for days, same for the sound and vision show at dodger stadium with nin. Im in the process of getting my Alladin Sane tattoo. Damnit god why this sux ...
