Patti Austin - Say You Love Me

from her wonderful '76 debut album, with lots of high end studio cracks behind her including Steve Gadd, Ralph MacDonald, Gwen Guthrie, Bob James, Eric Gale, Brecker Bros, Chuck Rainey, Will Lee, Richard Tee and many others

music

Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!

Nice...I never knew that she released her first album in 1976.I assumed that her 1981 album Every Home Should Have One was her debut album! nuts

I think Patti deserves an Unsung episode. She has always been incredibly underrated. Her live shows are amazing! She is another one who can sing in just about any genre.

I also found out only years after that album smile

there is a great CD re-release of those early records, that has all the best tracks from the first 3 albums, most notably the first album in its entirety

I love her CTI albums. That along with "Havana Candy" & "Body Heat" are all worth revisiting music
