Unsung Hi Guys,
Apologies if this is posted incorrectly. But I really want to see the Unsung series. I cannot find it anywhere to buy on DVD. I live in Australia and on TVOnes site it says that the videos are not for my region.
I have seen a couple of episodes on youtube but dont know where to find the rest.
Any ideas guys. | |

Gosh. Yeah, it really needs to be on DVD or rentable by stream. I have been watching a stream on their website (in Canada ) for as many as I can. I don't know how I would see them otherwise. There were a bunch on Youtube at one time.

DVD box sets would be great. Sadly, there probably wouldn't be enough of a demand to justify such releases. Then, of course, there would be those pesky music licenensing issues.

Next week is supposed to be Chanté Moore & Lakeside You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

To be honest, I am impressed with the licensing they have been able to secure just for TV broadcast. Lots of the artists cooperating with the show don't grant the licenses!

Still holding out for Cameo, Stephanie Mills,Starpoint, 5 Star, The Time, Vanity 6, Mtume, Switch, The Deele, I think all of these would be more interesting.

They had episodes on YoYo, Hi-Five, CeCe Peniston, & DJ Quik and they came out around the same time as Chanté and her first record was out a few years before Bone Thugs & Montell Jordan and they were featured You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. If you want The Time, you can just find the DVD that came with the Best Buy version of Condensate. Though Monte Moir doesn't say that much. Switch was mentioned on the DeBarge episode. I think Stephanie said she would never do this show. I would like to see New Birth particularly Londee Wiggins. Here's some other acts I'd like to see: . Bobby Hebb Joe Simon Margie Joseph A Taste Of Honey Honey Cone Color Me Badd (they were discovered by Robert "Kool" Bell) Zhane O.V. Wright Margie Joseph Since they've done a disco episode, I'd like one on Latin Freestyle C+C Music Factory Bobby Jimmy & The Critters Ready For The World Sylvia Robinson Clarence Carter Tyrone Davis The Stairsteps / Invisible Man's Band Grandmaster Flash & The Furious 5 Willie Hutch You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. Yeah, Unsung did touch a little on Switch but it was a Debarge Unsung. I'd like to see them do one entirely on Switch where they interview the other members . Getting answers to Why did Phillip Ingram. Leaving Motown for Total Experience records. Adding 2 or 3 more vocalist to the band, And what are they up to these days.

On a related note there's a Roberta Flack documentary on Showtime. It lasts about an hour, with no commercials. I watched it a couple of weeks ago. Some of them, they've already shown many times like Montell Jordan and David Ruffin, and others they haven't shown at all since I started watching it like The Clark Sisters. But that episode was on Youtube. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B.
