That is very sweet of her to make that video! She has not changed since the first day I met her over 33 years ago....She really cares about her fans.. will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.

[Edited 10/3/15 10:34am] Lol!!!! I love it!!!! Let me just say....I love this fu*king album! It's been on repeat for the last 2 days now. I am so impressed with Janet. From the way the album sounds to how she has rolled out this entire project. I'm very interested to see just how much press she will do with this album. So far she has done none. Which is unheard of from someone like Janet. But I have to say I kinda dig it. The media this last decade has not been kind to Janet nor her family. It's like she is giving them her middle finger. And rightfully so. My favorite cuts from the album are "Damn baby"" The Great Forever " "Night", " Black Eagle", "Well Traveled", Burn it up"," No Sleeep", After you fall" and " Gonna be alright". I feel like "Damn baby" could have been a single. So many people love that song. And the breakdown is genius. I love the fact that she sampled herself. Janet, Jimmy, and Terry did the damn thing!!! "Night" is kicking my ass, right now !!!! It's quickly taking up the space that, "Broken Hearts Heal" held, when it downloaded Thursday night.

So...listening on Spotify. I'm pleasantly surprised. I love the songs when you get to hear Janet's voice. I'm not into over the produced songs/EDM dance music influences. I'mma fan who's around Janet's age, so it's nice to see her put together a nice album that all of her fans can appreciate from all demographics. This industry is extremely cruel to veteran artist so it's great seeing all of the positive reviews from music critics.
Stand outs for me:
No Sleep Black Eagle Dammn Baby The Great Forever Shoulda Known Better After You Fall Well Traveled Gon B Alright (this is HOT, sounds J5 influenced and Janet's voice is very aggressive) Night (Prince influenced, Minneapolis sound)
As far as albums to compare to. First I wanna say that this album stands out in it's own right. However, just for conversaion sake, I would say the album resembles Rope Burn.

Thoroughly enjoying Janet's new album, as I always suspected I would. Could it be nostalgia? It definitely takes you back to "younger days".

Honestly? I didn't think it was going to be sold out so fast.....they have some in stock at this other Target that I will hit up tomorrow. It is late and I wasn't about to drive 45 mins at night in the rain Janet with get my coins tomorrow lol But I am happy for Janet! This album is selling like hot cakes! She deserves this!! I'm happy she has pretty much did all of this, tour, music, singles, etc without any help from the industry and has still been very successful.

. Agreed. Well Traveled gave me the same rush as the first time I heard Where Are You Now all those years ago.

Huge middle finger to industry!
Interesting how most of us like the same tracks...
BTW, it's avaiable on Amazon, the hell with a Target!

I am starting to agree. As an album, I feel like this is her strongest body of work. No, it doesn't have the immediate, blockbuster singles of Control, Rhythm Nation or janet. But it feels like her magnum opus in many ways.

Oh yeah, "Night" is definitely the highlight for me
I'm bummed that the iTunes version doesn't have "Love U 4 Life" though, but I'll get over it

This album is so brilliant. By far her best. That Janet should never make another album. She should go out on top. I predict high number sells. It's sold out in many places here.
Mj is looking down on her wishing he waa back to top her on this one.

Me too- and it's hard to say because we have Control, Rhythm Nation, Janet. and The Velvet Rope. But this album is so mature and textured and positive without turing corny or borning.
I think Janet, Jimmy and Terry were ready to go back to work and found their groove again. And her vocals are so on point!

Hey, I got my pre-ordered CD & T delivered Saturday. My son couldn't wait he went and got another CD, and dares me to say anything. Alright then. Anyway I've been loving it so far.

Janet's best album? I'd go as far to say this is the Holy Grail of recorded music. STILL on repeat three days after release.

Gon' Be Alright is my shit, I can't stop playing and singing that one, and Dream Maker & 2 Be Loved are on repeat often as well. The very few tracks I needed to grow on me, I'm really feeling now
Really love this album, it's her most creative and elegant overall since Velvet Rope, I knew this is what she wanted to make for the last 10 years, but felt her record label had a say in what she should be doing and not doing. [Edited 10/4/15 6:27am]

When the album first started, I thought mariah Carey's "Yours" (also produced by Jimmy & Terry) was coming on for a second. (0.00-0.05) Had to rewind. Think those are the same keys used on Unbreakables opening
