Dupe thread--lock it down FKA Twigs streams new 'M3LL155X' EP online with self-directed film - watchThe short film spans four tracks from the singer's third EP FKA Twigs has unveiled her third EP online with a full EP stream plus self-directed short film.
The 'M3LL155X' EP follows her 2014 debut album 'LP1' and is her third EP release to date, following 2012’s 'EP1' and 2013’s 'EP2'. The five track EP features two previously revealed tracks, 'Glass & Patron' and 'Figure8' alongside three new recordings by the singer, 'I’m Your Doll', 'In Time' and 'Mothercreep'. News of the EP was revealed alongside a self-directed film by FKA Twigs. Spanning the first four tracks from the EP, the visually stunning footage features the performer in various guises, including a blow up doll, pregnant woman and catwalk model. According to a press release accompanying the film, the videos conceptualise 'the process of feeling pregnant with pain, birthing creativity and liberation.' Watch the 'M3LL155X' EP film below: FKA Twigs created the 'M3LL155X' EP with long term collaborators tic and Cy An and new collaborator BOOTS, who worked with the singer, producer and perfomer in New York at the end of 2014, recording the bulk of the new EP in a few days. The EP artwork was then created in partnership with Matthew Stone, the artist who photographed her first magazine cover. 'M3LL155X' is available to stream and download now and will be available on 12" vinyl.
