Re: the album content its not her best, its not her worst. Its not art official cage thank god. She got Kanye, the kids love Kanye. I'm hoping its her last real stab at mainstream.

Madonna is a pop artist. Her records will always have a mainstream contemporary element to them. She has always been mostly inspired by what is happening currently. I get some of her older fans have an issue with that, but I don't see her changing totally and making a jazz album or something.

but that would be hot!

why can't she just go the next level and do that ... (she never will)

Gunsnhalen

People are tired of her dumbass antics. It was cool when she was in her 20's and 30's. Call me an ''agesit'' but a woman that is old enough to be my grandmother. Walking around saying the n word, wearing grills, dressing skimpy, kissing young rappers, and acting like a teen. Is just boring now and she's obviously trying her best to stay relevant nowadays. This chick had hits in the 80's, 90's, 00's, and 10's. Why can't she just release an album and not do all her dumb shit? this woman is utterly pathetic nowadays and so is her music.

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

yeahthat I don't love everything she does. But I'm so old myself that I remember listening to her first hits on the radio, and I think it's awesome she's still going. Though someone should moderate her social media, esp her instagram. lol

I've never understood ageism in Music. Music is heard, not seen (unless, of course, there's a video promoting said music.) Once again, Hollywood sticks its dirty-ass nose where it doesn't and/or shouldn't belong. How much of Hollywood infused music back in the 80's??? It didn't.

Now, as of the past decade or more, Hollywood has 2 wiggle its way into the appearances of whom we listen to, how old they are, what they wear, how much they weigh, etc...It's BULLSHIT. Madonna is a LEGEND. If it weren't 4 this woman herself, how many women 2day would be wearing what they're wearing (at work, at play, in public, etc...?) She paved the way and helped young girls and young women alike get free and expressive with their fashion. It's a fact.

Face it. We're ALL gonna age. There is NO STOPPING the aging process and 4 Hollywood 2 sit back, poke fun at and judge (usually very hatefully) our music legends is just beyond me. Because Madonna's 56, she's "too old?" She looks aMAZING and still SOUNDS amazing. She's also still outgrossing any of the "younger" artists in concert ticket sales! LOL! Ha ha!!!

Hollywood with all its vanity and phoniness should not only stick with movies and television, but should stay clear away from the the music world. All these ageist haters should only asPIRE 2 have bodies as toned, healthy and as beautiful as Madonna's when THEY'RE 56 years old!

"Rebel Heart" is a complete audio masterpiece. Madonna is DEFINITELY stretchin' herself artistically with this one. As with artists who issue CD-formatted music these days, they will sadly ALWAYS fall prey to lack of sales due to the immediate availability of digital downloads (unless the consumer happens to prefer CD's and/or is a collector), which in itself, have literally STOLEN the excitement of new physical product with all its leaks, pre-orders and umpteen singles.

Ageism, huh? When Hollywood stops gettin' its "prune" on and plastic surgery ceases 2 turn (some of) its stars into total BEASTS and FREAKS with all the plumped lips and other assorted hideous antics, maybe THEN it can talk. Madonna hasn't altered a single BONE.

She is as much a cultural and societal figure as much as she is a musical legend and should be regarded as such and with much respect. Doors which had been previously eternally locked prior 2 her and Cyndi Lauper's arrivals are now open because of her (their) balls, contribution and not her (their) age. Show some respect, people and ignore what Hollywood says. Hollywood is so full of itself (and falsely so) and Music is CLEARLY out of its league. The rebel heart will always beat and that will be withOUT blowfish lips. She's not "too old." She's too SMART. Get it RIGHT. We're ALL gonna be "old" one day and Man isn't MAN enuff 2 control it. PTHHHHHHH!!! :-O

After this album I don't know what her tour schtick will be, because her capacity to keep up with "hip" choreography is done. When I saw her torturous performance on Jimmy Fallon I felt bad for her. I know she stays in great shape, but she moves like the 50-something yo woman she is, not the 21 yo she wants to still be. I certainly would never pay any money to see her hobble across the stage these days. But I assume her hardcore base will still come out for that. I havent listened to the whole album but the few songs I did hear didn't sound bad at all.

Change it one more time..

You guys keep forgetting this one fact: Madonna has nothing to prove. She has already sold over 300 million records in her long career. She has had numerous record-breaking tours and she is in the Rock N'Roll Hall of Fame.Hell, she is even in the Guiness Book of World Records for being the "most successful female artist of all time (look it up if you don't believe me) and she is damn near a billionaire.Does she really "need" another hit record? I don't think so.

It's hard not to believe that.

The issue with Madonna is how she conducts and presents herself. She's pushing 60 years old yet acts like she's pushing 20 in this century. The stuff she does to cling to relevancy is downright embarrassing and painfully desperate; it's even worse when you remember she doesn't have to be doing what she does to remain relevant. Madonna is a living legend but it's easy to forget when she's hopping on all the latest trends no matter how short their shelf life may or may not be and acting like the average female pop star of today. She's a pioneer in bringing shock value to pop music and I got no issue with her making music but at the age of 56, it's kind of pathetic she still feels the need to act like the young stars of today. Madonna needs to grow up.

I don't use TIDAL due to self respect and limited funds, but the rumor is she about shut the service down this morning with the video premiere. Fans were trying for hours and eventually got to one that froze over half way in for everyone. Fun times. See, folks are still interested.

I wasn't saying she doesn't move well for someone her age, she does. Im just saying I don't like seeing someone look like they're in pain trying to force a bunch of moves choreographed by people 30 years younger than her. Those that like that type of thing, by all means, continue to see it, I don't have any problem with that.

Being a longtime, successful veteran artist is a great thing. There's no more pressure. There's nothing left to prove. These days,Madonna can make the type of music that she chooses and she can tour periodically,on her own terms. All of the current "hot" artists should hope that they someday reach this status.

That's not what I was trying to say at all. Nobody is hating on Madonna for liking current music (assuming she truly does), saying she can't have fun, and that because of her age, she should be sitting at home bored but come on, there are plenty of ways to do so without looking like someone's drunken auntie who constantly tries to show that she's down with whatever the kids today are doing. It's one thing to be into something younger generations are doing but another to take it over the top and try to act like you're a part of it as much as them. It's just awkward and I'd rather not see more 56 year old (white) women publicly refer to their sons as "Dis nigga" for the sake of "fun".

She can drop an album daily until the day she dies for all I care but the woman is a music legend yet the average person not familiar with her is probably asking who was that old woman kissing Drake onstage and performing with Psy and LMFAO rather than listening to any music she makes.
