Her convenient case of acute bronchitis is expected to clear up in time for Saturday night’s gig, her spokesperson said today.

That's easy for you to say when you're not in Vegas, with tickets in hand, and the show you travelled hours to see got cancelled at the last possible moment.

She can't please everyone. If she had of did the show with her voice hoarse, people would have been complaining about how horrible she sounded and the press would have had a field day. If she wasn't feeling well, she absolutely 100% did the right thing by cancelling and resting her voice. Sure some people may have been inconvienced, but being inconvienced is part of life. Resting her voice after one week??? Come on now, she's supposed to be a professional singer.

Actually, considering we all know that her vocie has gone downhill for quite some time now, it actually wasn't bad. It seems she's at least acknowledging her limitations now and finally compensating for that.

Mariah's career is exactly where the industry wants it to be for a 40+ year old R&B female singer. She's lucky she still has a recording contract with a major label. That's fairly unheard of for a veteran female R&B singer. They just tour because no label will sign them.
