And that matters why?...
Mariah is wearing an outfit that is not complimentary to her figure. IMHO. Is there some org rule that says I can't look at a photo and make an observation or voice an opinion? biggrin

You know, that's probably what people are trying to say about her fashion, but it always sounds like body shaming rather than dress shaming. lol

Mariah will continue to dig up that tired old act of many dancers, many costume changes, trying to look and act younger than what she is, sing lots of ballads in a dress... yawn yawn yawn...stay at home and raise your kids!

Doalwa

One thing always irritates me with this women: Why does she always look at least 30 pounds lighter and 10 years younger in all her promo shots?

IMO, what Mariah should do & I think I might have said this before, is drop the whole Mimi stuff and do like a standards album with a big band and showcase her vocal ability. Countless artists have done that - Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis, Barry Manilow, Smokey, Rod Stewart, Paul McCartney...the list goes on. But it gives them an extra kind of, I guess you could say, longetivity and in some instances showcases them to a new fanbase. I think the re-branding of Mariah as a standards/ballads singer would probably rejuvenate her career as right now she's trying to market herself toward the demographic who'd rather listen to like Arianna Grande, Rhianna et al.

that is an interesting idea...however...everyone you've named is easily 25 years older than Mariah... I am not sure her career in the pop mainstream would ever recover..

It's easy to forget she is used to singing her own material. She's a songwriter! That's like telling Prince to do a standards album. lol

True, but I think it would be refreshing to hear her tackle some classic songs from the past....maybe a nice remake of Minnie Riperton's "Lovin You"?

Like, *I* could see Prince recording those Sly Stone covers he has been performing for 15 years, but Mariah wants to keep performing and recording her own stuff I think, just the same as Prince.
