I've read on several different threads that Prince and Paula Abdul dated for a short time in the late-1980s. While I think it's highly possible--- they'd look like a very attractive couple back then and then there's the Batdance/U connection --- I want to see if there's any truth to this... Haven't seen it mentioned except on any bigger platform except for some book I read on Google Books years ago..I think it was a Paula biography.

He sent her some roses when "Straight Up" went to Number One on the charts.I also remember hearing that Prince wanted Paula to choreograph the dance/performance scenes in Graffiti Bridge.Never heard of them dating,though.Around that time (late 80s),Prince was supposedly interested in Kim Basinger.

Never heard of the roses story, but that's cool. I've heard the Graffiti Bridge story, I think she was too busy to actually do it though?

Supposedly she broke it off with him because he cheated (aka the same reason Prince is always dumped). I've heard it was right after his relationship with Kim ended

Why did this get moved to Music: Non-Prince? It has Paula Abdul in the title but it's about Prince and his personal life... not sure anybody here likes Prince in this section
