The only Nirvana song I could ever play at a party without being a downer was "Lithium", but it made some drunk people fight.

Weren't The Black Crowes, Extreme, Metallica, Counting Crows, Hootie and The Blowfish, & Spin Doctors making rock in the 1990s? I'm not sure what's depressing about Little Miss Can't Be Wrong. Van Hagar, John Mellencamp, Sting, & Bruce Springsteen was still kinda popular too. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I guess I'm an "oldie at the org" (51) but I've never bought any Bryan Adams music. [Edited 5/4/15 17:22pm]

Bryan Adams is what I would call a "safe" artist. He never wore outrageous costumes,he never simulated sex onstage,he never did anything controversial or offensive. But that's OK...those things don't work for every artist, anyway. Some of y'all would say he's boring, but I have no problem with a singer/artist who simply delivers good music. And yes,I think his music is good. His 80s singles have held up pretty good after all this time.

in defense of "mexican seafood", cobain suffered from terrible and seemingly pervasive bowel/stomach issues. this song could overexaggerate his condition or food poisoning. i'd take a kurt song over a bryan adams song any day. [Edited 4/28/15 11:23am]

Heaven is easily the best power-ballad of the '80s, and Mr.Adams wasn't even a hard-rock artist, let alone glam-metal

It's America's newest game sensation - "Are These Lyrics From A Nirvana Song Or Did RodeoSchro Make Them Up?" Let's play now! Just tell us if the lyrics are from a Nirvana song, or if RodeoSchro made them up. There's only one rule - NO GOOGLING! Use your own knowledge, imagination, and evaluation of RodeoSchro's wit and humor (or lack thereof). What a mind fuck First off, I'm gonna empty out all of my Mrs. Butterworth jars
Then I'm going to get some plywood
And then I'm going to take the shells and driftwood

And neither have made a lasting impact. I need receipts on how they've killed RNR lol. Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

Ever since Billie Holliday recorded "Strange Fruit" and turned jazz from music that was about fun and fucking into a total depressing downer, no one has cared about music of any kind. Rock and roll was dead before the people in Nirvana were even born. No one has played it, listened to it, or given two shits about it ever since.

Here's a track from Bryan's 2014 album, a remake of The Manhattans 1970s hit.
