In addition to this being a great funk album, I always remember it as one of those "surprise" records.

Seemed like we usually had SOME kind of advance warning about stuff 'bout to be released (so you had a "hit list" you'd show up at the record store lookin for).......but this one was just THERE. Remember grabbin it & NOT even a little disappointed. They came hard with this one (yeah...cue Andy....rimshot.....l lol ).

F'n great band.

Kleeer was always under the radar but their singles generally got airplay in

my area. I know Running Back To You used to get a lot of airplay.

Get Ready had little to no promotion. I happened to hear She Said She Loves

Me on the radio without realizing they had a new album out.

They played the hell out of that one in my area. That one had some help from Rick James on it.

Yeah, that's recommended (the full catalog on vinyl). Interesting thing though...you can skip the 12"s for them (IMHO). They weren't big on great re-mixes /extended versions.

Stonesee was obviously a filler song and a continuation of De Ting Continues. lol

I really clearly feel the funk. Sincerely Really clearly feel the funk. My feet are moving

in a primitive manner. I feel the funk. I know that Michael Henderson cover was your favorite

but that shit should have been banned in record stores and he should have been fined for wearing turquoise drawz. lol

He wasn't wearing anything shocking or out of the ordinary at that time. Back in those days, many, if not the majority, of men wore the bikini type swimsuits. Actually, the swimsuits that looked like shorts were in the minority in those days. And the good thing about those days was, men weren't shaving their pubes like little bitches so it was common to see hair going into the top of the swimsuit and coming out by both legs at the bottom. Hell, I remember back in those days, for a cheap thrill, I used to buy a six pack of beer and drive to the pubic swimming pool and park outside the fence and just watch the men. evillol That thrill is gone though those days because they all wear swimsuits past their knees and the few that wear the bikini types shave every hair off their body and look like bitch ass drag queens. barf lol
