Now that it's been a few days i have done a 180 and am TRULY excited to have Nas in the mix - please, oh please let his verse/song make the final tracklist.

I also hope they are sampling his track "Halftime" from Illmatic on her new track.

Seriously? What happened? What made you change your mind?

lol

I like Nas and I don´t mind Madonna. wink

I thought about how much I love Nas as an artist, overall, and all her other rumored collaborators this time, and while it isn't the most ideal pairing from an artistic standpoint, the thrill of a new M album plus an actual great artist who isn't just a flavor of the month rapper a la Nicki or MIA or Wayne, but a member of the 'tribe' from 90s hip hop, it made me recall how tight her 90s hip hop influence was, and how she was a huge fan of Public Enemy, etc. Maybe she does know what to do with a collaborator like Nas.

I remember when Ray of Light was being made in the early early stages someone rumored that Salt N Pepa would be on a song - i thought that sounded incredible.

Madonna + 90s hip hop, i'll take it.

It just rubbed me the wrong way at the very first mention of it...because i think of her as the antithesis of that mid 90s / late 90s neo-soul hip-hop Roots-Jill-Badu-Nas-Busta-Lauryn hill-d'angelo-Mos Def "Scene"...but i think it could be cool.

I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

I really don't get the appeal of MaDonna.

I think there are about 10 songs in her whole career that I can tolerate.

Which are they?

I'm guessing

Don't Tell Me

Live To Tell

Like A Prayer

Ray of Light

Beautiful Stranger

Secret

Borderline

Holiday

Hung Up

Frozen

...aka the songs that all non M fans name as "good even though it's Madonna"...

First a collabo with Big Daddy Kane, now a collabo with Nas....she´s got that Juice Crew/Queensbridge connection for sure.

The funny thing is....I´ve met BDK.....BDK met Naomi and touched Madonna´s ass....Naomi stood right behind me during a Prince aftershow....I bought Illmatic in 1994....six degrees of separation. lol lol

Plus I´ve met Masta Ace and I know MC Shan´s nephew. Next thing you know I´m going to meet Madonna because one of my ex-gfs is a big fan.

And you and I are both Badu fans. It´s eerie. lol

If this was 1994...or better yet 1996...accusing her of "chasing trends" by working with Nas would make more sense. But who in almost 2015 works with Nas for the sake of being trendy? Is he such a surefire commercial grab that it'll substantially increase the sales and airplay value of whatever track of hers he'll be featured on? No. This ain't J. Cole or Kendrick LaMar she's licking the face of. Instead this looks like an icon working with another icon out of mutual respect.

This is pretty much what I think too. Everybody does this, not sure why people are criticizing Madonna. She is choosing to work with a darn good MC. This is not Jay Z or Rick Ross folks lol . Lets see what this collab has to offer.

I don't think Madonna ever actually worked with Teddy Riley. She has has some Riley-esque sounding songs though, primarily on the Erotica album.

And you gotta like Like A Prayer!? Prince was actually on that track too.

DJ Dahi talks about producing tracks on the new Madonna album

I’ve been in with her for the last month. Me and my friend Blood Diamonds have worked on a good portion of the album. It’s been dope. It’s a new experience for me. Working with Madonna has put me in a new creative space, because I’ve produced a big chunk of the album. It’s not just like one track or like I’m just submitting beats. It’s like we’ve been in the studio together and we’ve been working together. It’s all collaborative. It’s made me realize that I want to be there more and more working with the artists and crafting something together. Making beats and sending them in is cool, but it’s kind of disconnected. That’s something I’m focused on more and more after working with Madonna. That album is supposed to be coming next year. Hopefully, everybody loves it. It’s cool, because it’s so different from what people would expect. People are going to be like, “What the hell?” The opportunity came about through word of mouth. She liked my music and was a fan of my style. She had told me she appreciated the mindset that I take with my music. Most of the records that have come out that I’ve done have been with rappers and R&B artists, but there’s still something alternative about the records. There are other elements and she appreciates that, so it was cool for her to say that and then for her to say, ‘Okay, let’s go work.’ I’m working with Madonna and all I have to do is be myself.”

It seems like she's making a really diverse album. There will be some R&B sounds, electropop and even some reggae-ish beats on a few tracks.I like the direction she's going in! thumbs up!

Let's just hope the diversity won't lead to a mess/patchwork, her last album already felt like random tracks thrown together since it featured 8 producers, I hope the next one won't be like that even though more than 8 collaborators have been involved already...

Information on the Pharrell-produced songs on Madonna's upcoming album;will there be a duet with Gwen Stefani?

A few minutes ago we posted a rumour about a possible duet between Madonna and Gwen Stefani, produced byPharrell. Unfortunately one of our closest sources confirmed us that it’s totally fake.
But concerning Pharrell Williams, we at DrownedMadonna.com can tell you some exclusive news about the collaboration between Madonna and Pharrell for the Queen of pop upcoming album.
There are 3 songs made with Pharrell and these are the titles: BACK THAT UP, TAKE IT BACK and TAKE A DAY.
We don’t know if these songs will be part of the album.

Two months ago rumours of a new Madonna and Nicki Minaj collaboration started to spread after the duo was spotted together in New York. During a new interview on Hot 97, Diplo confirmed that Madonna and Nicki Minaj did record a “crazy” track. It will appear on Madonna's upcoming album, due in spring 2015.

I really do love Madonna. I've been a fan for years.

.

Her eyes are catching up with her now, aren't they? She is at that fork in the road where the options are Sophia, Blanche, Dorothy, and Rose. I always thought Madonna would end up like Rose, even her "old" character at the end of "A League Of Their Own" was sorta Betty White-ish.

.

Now I fear she is going to look like Joan Rivers and act like Blanche forever. Her face appears to be running from itself.

.

The Nas collaboration sounds exciting, hopefully the Minaj track is a different one so I can skip it or hope for the edit without her. "Give Me All My Love" the version without Minaj and Maya is bangin'. They add nothing to the track.
