i'm peeved they stopped honoring the Favorite Soul/R&B Group, Band, or Duo category for years. AMAs suck!

Well, this looks like shit.

Wow................this list may be the WORST I've seen 4 an awards show.

The "Record Label Awards Their Own By Making A Vote-In Show No One Votes For" Awards go to...

American Music Awards IS likely the most appropriate label for this program. A shitty pseudo-democratic approach to their provided choices. Which gold plated bar of shit tastes the least like shit?

Jesus - Hillsongs (for their lovely, inspiring infomercials and pro-$ stance to promoting religion)

EDM - Avicii (for the "health scares" and the Madonna rumor$)

Pop - Lorde & Sam Smith (because they aren't Americans)

Country - ??? erm who cares. They obviously are courting Garth Brooks as country's Led Zeppelin.
Latin - Romeo Santos (who hasn't heard Santos this year... guitar noise ping ping pingpingpingping in bodegas, laundromats, taxis, etc. SANTOS SHOULD WIN THE WHOLE SHOW)

Rap - Iggy Azalea (to confirm her performance)

R&B - Beyonce (because Beyonce is Beyonce and American)

And WhyTF is John Legend a nominee? Not that I'm really surprised given the state of music today but seriously, outside of a weakasswater hit single, what else did he do to even be considered for artist of the year?

yeah,John Legend's music puts me to sleep.I can't see why his single did so well this year.

2014 has been shit upon shit for mainstream top 40 music. Usually there will be like 1 or 2 songs i'll like. But this year has just been shit. It's either been Beyawnce, Iggy Kangaroo, Ariana Starbucks, or some one hit wonder.

So they expanded they "Artist of the year" category..I wonder who's getting the Lifetime achievement award?

The Pop category has a "Favorite Pop Duo/Group" slot and so does Country...They need to add a 'Favorite Soul/R&B Duo-Group"....Toni & Babyface would have gotten nominated....I don't like how the AMA's & the GRAMMY's treat The RB category like a red-headed step-child...
