New Edition-BoyzIIMen-TLC tour ALthought I mentioned it before I think New Edition needs to tour with other artists. MOst artists from The 80s and 90s sales are so low that they need other artists to fill a 20,000 seat arena. SO with that I was thinking why not have New Edition, BoysIIMen,and TLC on one tour. I was thinking instead TLC Bobby Brown but he's back with New Edition. They could do a segent with solos and BBD.
I think together the could fill big arenas and afford a better stage. Working up a purple sweat.

NE just came off tour with no support act. Nick Ashford was someone I greatly admired, had the honor of knowing, and was the real-life inspiration for Cowboy Curtis' hair. RIP Nick. - Pee Wee Herman

There's package tours all the time with old R&B acts or Sinbad/Tom Joyner cruises. Boyz II Men was on a tour with New Kids On The Block not that long ago.
You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Yes that title is very misleading. NE summer 2014 dates

Like I've mentioned before, New Edition and NKOTB should do a tour next year. Where they can have special guest opening acts on each date, like for instance, they could have:
on one date and the next could be
then,
and on and on like that. Then NKOTB can open the show
and NE can close
with the New Kids coming back out and they can end the show performing
BTW, TLC and Boyz II Men have already toured together, back in 1995

Does it matter? | |

It didn't really matter in the 1960's and early 1970s, when there were package concerts with acts that had little to do with each other musically, less so than NE & NKOTB does. Both of them got their start with Maurice Starr and they both did a song together. Festivals like Coachella have all kinds of acts from many genres. Not only did they have the same manager, New Kids On The Block were supposed to be a "white New Edition". They originally were marketed to black girls but that didn't work. Working up a purple sweat.
