Due in 20 years or so. Pop music is becoming the all purpose, non purpose music of the ages.

eh, honestly, if all he ever puts out is what he has already, he's done more than most. I'd love to hear some new stuff and I'm sure he's got some shit coming, he's just suffered from that artistic self doubt. It'll come out when it comes out. That's how neo-soul cats do. If you don't have to wait for it, it's not a real neo-soul release.

More than most? 2 albums in 19 years? What do you mean? Pop music is becoming the all purpose, non purpose music of the ages.

I meant artistically. Brown Sugar and Voodoo are better than most people's albums. If they take him longer to make but are that high in quality, I'm ok with waiting.

I can agree with that. Pop music is becoming the all purpose, non purpose music of the ages.

I love both of D's albums, especially Voodoo, but it's been what? 15 years or something ridiculous like that since he released a new cd. He's missed the boat IMO. Not saying I won't buy his new cd if it ever comes out, but my excitement has wained.
