Old school joint of the day (Carol King)

Hey y'all I know I've been hiting u up with the old school R&B classics, but I think I'm going 2 change the pace for a minute, check this out... Carol King is bad musician, her music is highly underated, she's like the neptunes for the 70's, got great credibilty when it comes to writing other peoples music, but when it comes to her own, can't seem to win a grammy lol

Any way, if you have time to stop at the record store, please pick up the album taperstry it's a classic and my old school joint of the day will be ...

It's too late- Carol King

Tapestry is a wonderful album...a pure classic in its Genre that still sounds fresh till this day theres albums that sound so much cleaner on vinyl and this one being it..hearing it on a cd loses its warmth and authenticity in the music.. so for those vinyl hounds if you do pass a used record store do pick up tapestry

Wow, DigitalLisa! I was thinking about Miss King the other day. It's Too Late is a very soulful song. I really like it. I think she is a very talented singer and songwriter. My favorite song by her is You're So Far Away.

Stayed in bed all morning just to pass the time
There's something wrong here
There can be no denying
One of us is changing
Or maybe we've just stopped trying

And it's too late baby
Now it's too late
Though we really did try to make it
Something inside has died
And I can't hide
And I just can't fake it
Wo no no no...

It used to be so easy living here with you
You were light and breezy
And I knew just what to do
Now you look so unhappy
And I feel like a fool

But it's too late baby
Now it's too late
Though we really did try to make it
Something inside has died
And I can't hide
And I just can't fake it

There'll be good times again for me and you
But we just can't stay together
Don't you feel it too
Still I'm glad for what we had
And how I once loved you

And it's too late baby
Now it's too late
Though we really did try to make it
Something inside has died
And I can't hide
And I just can't fake it

Too late, baby, it's too late
Darling, it's too late
