"Be Your Man" is a good, "MPLS funk: Jesse-style" jam..
the only thing is I think the tempo is a little too fast..
(maybe he did it that way to have a little more "pop flava" to the song..)

I remember the video, too:

Jesse, working that pink suit, Mark Cardenas & Gerry Hubbard (The Time, "Version 2.0) & the way they glided from side to side during the "don't take me through changes" refrain..

Then, with "Fool's Paradise"..
interesting song.. "atypical" for Jesse at that stage in his solo career..

I like the music to the song, I also like the
"ah- ahhh, ah- ahhh" background singing..

.. lyrically, though.. this is not 1 of Jesse's strongest efforts..

I'm trying to think of some examples of the lyrics from this song, but I'm drawing a blank!
(MERDE!)

I got the impression that in terms of the lyrics, all Jesse wanted to do was make sure that the lines rhymed appropriately..
& as such, the lyrics were..
PREDICTABLE
at best.

Still, 1 of his better, "rarer" gems..
I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS..
