Jermaine Jackson Facing Jail Time

October 23, 2013
Link

He bought a $160,000 Ferrari last month, but Jermaine Jackson is having trouble making his $3,000-a-month child support payments for sons Jermajesty, 13, and Jaafar, 17, according to court documents.

He's so behind — to the tally of $12,000, minus the $85 he's managed to fork over — that the L.A. County Child Support Services Department has filed documents requesting that a judge hold Jackson, 58, in contempt. The potential penalty for that is 20 days at the L.A. County Jail.

Jackson has struggled in the past to provide for the boys, two of his eight children with three women. (The mom in this case is Alejandra Jackson, who also has two children with Jackson's brother Randy. Oh, yes.).

Jermaine, who's had his wages garnished as a result, ponied up $80,000 in back support in March 2011, according to TMZ, and coughed up another $33,000 in delinquent payments this past May.

All the money he spent on his Crisco 'do could've been used for child support. And I always thought Michael was the wacky one in that family. Jermajesty????

I try not to ridicule the Jackson family, but that quip is pretty damn funny. Jermaine still has the mentality that it's the '70s and he's living off royalties from the Motown albums. Jermaine better go crawling to Berry Gordy and ask him to do some commercials or work at Burger King.

Dude is a frequent customer of Wal-mart and Costo. I'm always surprised to see him entering one of their locations.

After reading, "Jackson Family Values", this does not surprise me. As much as I like Jermaine's music, he is a really, f'ed up, human being. I really hope he can get it together. Ugggghhhhh.....

Lock him up! He's been playing this game for far too long. Most 'normal' people work for a living so that they can pay their bills.Jermaine must think that he's too good for that.

Why are michael jackson fans wanting him to go to jail? I agree he needs to man up and pay his dues on his own accord, but there's people who need to be in jail more than him and there has to be another solution besides something for that hair grease....I can just see tmz saying he's going to occupy Murray's spot after his release next week or some freaky shit. *grabs popcorn*

I can honestly say, I don't want him to go to jail. But, I want him to do right by his kids. Him being in jail, ain't gonna benefit those kids.

For real. It's ridiculous. With that being said, Jermaine is better than this.
He can't go parading around in a Ferrari and missing child support payments. Jermaine also has a catalog of songs as a weapon to get out there and work but he
has to be realistic about it he isn't capable of doing big arena shows like he did with his brothers in the past. I don't want the dude to go to jail but dude has to
get his priorities in order.

^^yep,I've been saying this for years: dude has a good catalog. There is no reason why he can't be out there on the road, doing concerts regularly.Charlie Wilson,Howard Hewitt,Ernie Isley,Freddie Jackson,etc....these guys are out there, performing their hits and making a living.I can even name artists who are older than Jermaine and yet, they're still out there, doing their thing.Jermaine seems lazy.If you're gonna make all these kids, you'd better be a man and find a way to support them!

Jermaine's career was sabotaged from 1991 to 2009

the rest of the brother's careers were sabotaged during the same time span

and Rebbie's career was snuffed out from 1997 to 2009

Charlie Wilson's career was not sabotaged, neither was Howard Hewitts, neither was Ernie Isley, neither was Freddie Jacksons

that's the albatross standing in the room.....

that's what makes it appear the brothers have been "lazy" all these years

He should consider returning that Ferrari to the dealership before making payments becomes an issue. If I had the misfortune of being in financial free fall and having to fork over $3K monthly in child support, I would be out there touring my butt off and capitalizing on my back catalog.

nod Absolutely! If everyone else can get on the old school circuit every year, why can't Jermaine? Hell, even one hit wonders get on these old school summer and holiday lineups. Jermaine has way more songs than that. He DOES seem lazy. I've seen Uncle Charlie and his show is great. Freddie is going around with Peabo and Jeffrey Osborne as the Men Of Soul. No excuse Jermaine. I know he has done shows with his brothers, but he could have been performing for decades like these other cats.

If her goal was to be a golddigger, she failed. 3 grand is nothing for 2 kids by a "celebrity". I'm sure she had stars in her eyes when she popped out babies with BOTH Jackson brothers. She'd make more at a regular job, minus the kids. Maybe she wanted some heirs to the Jackson legacy. I dunno. Jermaine and Randy are trifling as well. Both had two women knocked up at the same time.

Exactly, I couldn't have said it better. I also think people who are quick to say he belongs there are just racist and/or hypocrites in general. It's not about him being jermaine though I've liked him since the 80's, just not being aware of how they come off

Exactly, I'm so relieved I could say I saw him perform do what you do at the unity tour smile I wish he did dont take it personal and too good to be true
