I confess I kind of wanted there to be some kind of momentary, subtle reference to P in the apartment scene (with a Metropolis twist, of course), especially with the guitar solo and the strings at that moment testifying so vividly to his influence on the track.

coming from behind and the big purple square on the wall. it's like the 1999 set

Yes I'm diggin her brand of sexy. Nice video. It actually follows a storyline, imagine that....and it's 2013. I didn't think that was allowed anymore.

Too bad they didn't plan the rollout of this single/video better. Should have been released well before her album release. But not to dwell on the negative, way to go Janelle! I knew you had it in you girl. I for one can appreciate the subtleties of a woman's sensuality.

did you notice her earcuff? beautiful video and song and she is so sexy and beautiful.. there is something old hollywood about her..she looks like those actresses from the 50's..

and I love that miguel is cindi's first love but not anthony greendown..he didn't deserve the lead male role in her saga..I wonder who will play anthony..we have to wait until the next and last chapter since anthony isn't probably in this album( the electric lady is a prequel )..I can't wait to see...anthony must be elegant and sexy and the same time..

I agree..and another video with a story in it..janelle doesn't deserve to live in this shitty era of music.. but we need to say that she doesn't need to be naked..look how sexy she is fully dressed

and the many moons in the end a reference to her many moons' video and song..I love how every element is always so connected and well crafted with her..every element!if I was an expert musician I'd have loved to take the role of her mentor..but Prince took it so..

I love the song ofc, but the video 6/10. -there's just something that is missing. I don't feel the chemistry between Janelle & Miguel and neither are good "actors" imo, but it was a nice storyline and the overall feeling of the video was good. Janelle should also try to not look so hard to the camera, when those wideshots zoom in on her face. (I know it's just technical stuff but I still love Janelle !)

This is my least favorite song on the album.

I'd like a video for the song with Prince even though I can understand primetime or probably electric lady are better choices as singles..

The world must be coming to an end because there is a female pop star that actually has on clothes in her music videos and still looks gorgeous Wow didnt think that was possible in 2013.

I really dig Janelles look and outfit. The ear cuff is a nice touch. She really is a trendsetter. The song is nice but I wasnt really feeling the video all that much...

The other thread about the album was locked so I just wanna say this is one of my favorite cuts on this fantastic album. Finally had a listen yesterday and it was amazing, so many styles without sounding like she was trying too hard.

the electric lady is the only album I physically bought this year(the only new album I mean I bought old cds) ..because it's an album that DESERVES that treatment..

Janelle looks beautiful, Miguel looks hot, and the song is hot.
