I really dig Janelles look and outfit. The ear cuff is a nice touch. She really is a trendsetter. The song is nice but I wasnt really feeling the video all that much... Yeah she looks nice, I got similar ear cuffs, I've been wearing them for a while now lol (I love that she is mixing jewellry with the black and white outfits, it gives her edge!) One question tho,why do every damn video from 2005 to now, have to be in the set of a burlesque/strip club? What's up with that? I mean what's so "interesting" about those type of settings? Idk... Just wanted to hear your opinion on it lol razz

I don't feel the chemistry between Janelle & Miguel and neither are good "actors" imo, but it was a nice storyline and the overall feeling of the video was good. Janelle should also try to not look so hard to the camera, when those wideshots zoom in on her face. (I know it's just technical stuff but I still love Janelle biggrin!) I think their chemistry is really good..how they look at each other is lol[Edited 10/11/13 9:00am] Really? They look more like pals hahaha razz! But they could both afford to take some acting classes lol....

The video was okay but I'm glad she finally started to sing hooks that are memorable in her songs. This shows that when she wants to, she can write a song that people would pull up years from now and identify her with SONICALLY and not just identify her by her image. No matter how much talent you have, you have to have a great song or people will eventually forget about you.

And where the hell was Miguel when those customers were harrassing her? Hiding under the table? lol

I guess if they would have been girls, he would have jumped on their necks from the stage? wink lol

this album has a lot of songs with hooks..more than the archandroid but I absolutely loved that album too..it was experimental and crazy good..DEAD at the end..miguel wanted a piece of that ass smile so he went after her ignoring the customers:lol:

Yea I have similiar ear cuffs as well lol but not alot of female pop stars wear them so I think its a "fresh" touch to add with her already creative attire. To answer your question, I am not quite sure lol I pictured the setting of this song to be some where in a forest or sci-fi setting because Janelle is so imaginative lol I think she probably tried to lower the extra creative ideas to have more universal appeal. I love the "Queen" video better.

this is a concept that can apply to the entire electric lady album..I don't want to say it's not an amazing album because it definitely is but for this one she made her epic ideas a little more accessible for the general public..and I think she chose the electric sheep nightclub as the set because it was featured in one of the trailers for her album(I posted it somewhere on this thread), and also dj crash crash in the interlude before primetime speaks about the club..so it all makes sense..I agree about queen: it's a masterpiece, along with many moons..this one for primetime is my third favorite video of hers..I love the looks of both in this , the set, the story, the lights..I think since the concept of the song is simple she couldn't be more complicated than this..

I know people at the org once liked Miguel... then turned on him like they did Frank Ocean lol

But, i love his voice and he is an exciting r&B artist. And the only r&b artist on the top 40 who is exciting tbh.

I hope him and Janelle do more work together smile there voices sound wonderful together.

it's code it's my less favorite track on the album..it's too motown in sound and lyrics and in 2013 it tastes a little too much saccharine..the motown sound was already saccharine in the 60's( but more appropriate at the time)..so I guess that's why..

If Ghetto Woman is not released it would be a complete and utter SIN! That to me is the BEST song on the entire album. I'm wishing hard for the radio relase and visuals and she should most definately have Stevie in the vid some kind of way.

I don't have the physical copy of the album, so don't know who the lead guitarist is, but it sounds so classically Prince. Anyone have any info to fill in the blanks for me?

Kellindo! He's part of Janelle's band and a writing partner. He's also the nephew of Maceo Paker.
