Jodeci appreciation

Is it me, or should they have some type of greatest hits package by now? They had waaay too many jams and I think the hits have stopped for K-Ci and JoJo. I hope MCA puts a package together because I really don't want to have to buy all the cds again. woot! for Jodeci.

I love Jodeci too...I hear they're coming out with a new album soon...we'll see. In the meantime, a greatest hits album would be wonderful smile

Massive Jodeci fan here. The way K-Ci & Jo Jo have drifted in recent years is testimony to Devante Swing's production surely, being they were basically the sole vocalists for Jodeci.

There's rumours of drug problems with all four so I wouldn't hold breath on the much postponed comeback rating with their best, but we'll see. Slip n Fall (bonus track on X) sounded a positive beginning.

Did anybody hear the limited release of Mr Dalvin's solo LP? Madonna's Maverick imprint didn't believe in it from the start (Check the cheaply made video to lead off single) and rumours were Stevie J carried the vocals but I liked it in parts. biggrin

Big Fan over Here.Loved the Hell out of the Forever My Lady Album.the follow-Up Album was Pretty Good&after that it got spotty.but together they were tight.it wasn't until there 3rd Album though did I even half like one of there Up-tempo Tracks though.Devante Swing could&should have Been Bigger as a Producer IMHO.He trained&had Timberland,Ginuwine,Missy&them in His Basement back in the day.He was also once down with Madonna&almost had a Song on Her "Bedtime Stories" Album but it got knocked off at the 11nth Hour.He was also Suppose to work with Michael Jackson but that also didn't make the Final Cut.last time I saw Dude He looked Like How Eddie Griffin&Bobby Brown sometimes Bugg Out.KC&Jo-Jo Can Sing/Sang IMHO but have Become now Known for doing Mariah Carey/Celine Dion/David Foster Over the Top HallMark themes with there Songs.Mr.Delvin that must have been a Hook-Up From Madonna? that was released on her Maverick's Records.that Album came with a Rumor of Him pulling a Milli Vannelli.they were suppose to have a Double-Set Two years Back&then Something last year.on the Steive Wonder Tribute Show on BET KC&JO-JO asked the Presenters not to mention them as associated with Jodeci so stay tunned.

I use to, Okay still do, have a big crush on K-Ci Hailey. Everyone use to make fun of me and say he looks like a gremlin! He was the voice that made Jodeci, IMHO. Wish they would make a comeback! If not a comeback a greatest hits package would be sweet!

There's a Prince link too in when a P-obsessed Devante ran way from home aged 16 and made his way to Paisley Park, he begged P to employ him at the studios.

Despite some studio footage on the K-Ci & Jo Jo Uncovered DVD/VHS the guys don't get along, I've heard Jo Jo and Dalvin can't be in the same room. Wouldn't be surprised if K-Ci & Jo Jo re-uniting with Dave Hollister (their cousin) and Calvin Richardson in their childhood gospel choir came before a Jodeci reunion.

I dig them as a group. K-Ci & JoJo as a duo seem so Disney to me... Dalvin tried, sucked & failed miserably, probably made the worst video/single in the history of music videos... DeVante had drug problem, right? Anyway, love the shit outta the first album...

Stay
You & I
Forever My Lady
Come & Talk to Me
X's We Share

...don't remember anything from the second. The third had some good ones...

Love U 4 Life love
Let's Do It All
S-More
Freakin You

... a greatest hits would be cool, I'd buy it nod
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

Yeah Dalvin calls UTCM his favourite film of all time while DeVante has said Parade was the album that influenced him.

Right, potentially K-Ci could hang with any modern act, he has far more potential than JoJo yet he seems happy to stay in that safe MOR mold with his brother. Seems to lack the motivation to go further... hence even the charts prefer a C-grade knockoff like Sisqo.

Come & Talk Me-orginal & mos def the remix
You & I
Forever My Lady
Cry For U

Freakin' U

I really hope they work their problems out and put out some new music. I would definately buy it.

I think The Show The Afterparty is my favourite overall actully, maybe it just rang more true as it came from the era I was getting into them. All three are tight though.

Another Prince link is that K-Ci & JoJo a few years back said a duet was in the works. Can't see it happening now...
