first...never a fan or liked her songs.
I clicked on this to respond just to the title. The use of profanity in Pop music needs to come to a stop. Can anyone ever write a decent Mainstream Pop song without any use of profanity! I don't care if I never hear this tune, (even though I'm sure it will find me), however this SHIT needs to stop!

Now, now--you're assuming the asterisks stand for something they might not stand for. Maybe this is just a song about the people who share a shift down at the local grocery store--the "Work Bunch." Or about how much work she has to get done before she can call it a day--"Work Batch." Or maybe about how she makes a really great soup, and it all starts with having the right beef base, and she really knows how to "Work Broth."
Or maybe it's about how much she hates working--"Work Blech!!!"
Or about how she always wanted to style hair for a living--"Work Brush." Or maybe paint houses.
The fact that you immediately assumed something crude just says something about you, I think.

I think it's a song about a prostitute called Work Brush. [Edited 9/10/13 19:30pm]

Attention seeker title that will hamper commercial success so the fans will have an excuse why she won't hold a candle to Katy or Gaga on the charts.
I also wonder whether William Orbit would associate himself with a song titled like that. It is likely it's a collaboration with Free School like Madonna's "Love Spent".

Anyone know who produced it? |

As I mentioned in my post, William Orbit has been long rumored due to random facebook posts and tweets and Jean-Baptiste (of Free School) made comments about it on Twitter lately.

I won't get my hopes up; her recent singles have been nothing but the usual tired, by-the-numbers foray into electronic dance music. I will be stunned if she takes a different direction. [Edited 9/12/13 4:48am]

Nope!
It's Will.I.Am.

Yeah it is will.i.am and a Swedish House Mafia member. I wonder if they originally planned a different song for a lead-off single or William Orbit just talked about one song he contributed to the album. I believe Britney herself did confim Orbit's involvement.

Sebastian Ingrosso Brings His Swedish House Mafia Swagger to Brit's Latest 09.12.13 We, as a society, are now four days away from the release of Britney Spears' new single "Work Bitch," and we, the pop queen's loyal subjects, have been bestowed with some more details surrounding the track. The flashiest writing credit, of course, belongs to Sebastian Ingrosso, the Swedish DJ/producer best known as one-third of the now-defunct EDM trio Swedish House Mafia; his presence in the liner notes suggests that "Work Bitch" will be a dance floor scorcher. Interestingly, the single artwork for "Work Bitch" features Spears in a feathery blue outfit, leaning on a desk that includes a miniaturized Las Vegas sign. If an announcement about Spears' long-rumored Las Vegas residency is indeed impending, this photo is darn good evidence.

I'm getting the impression that Britney got her mojo back. In my opinion she was at the time of her game during Slave for you. That shit was hot and her choreogrpahy was great. She had a banging body too. I'm routing for her. I hope this album doesn't sound like the last one though. Over produced and totally uninspired and I'm a bit disappointed that Will.I.Am produced the first single but I'll give it a listen. Go Brit!
