I have high hopes for this album because Face is still an ace songwriter. It won't bother me if sales don't meet industry expectations.

I'm definitely going to check it out. Face outdid himself on Toni's debut album that I still rock this very day. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

No doubt about that. | |

Which song exactly? I believe in the past decade he only wrote album tracks for the likes of Janet, Whitney and Toni herself.

He wrote for her 2001 Christmas album and her album, "More Than A Woman", that came out shortly after. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

He co-wrote his single "There She Goes," which made the R&B Top 10 and the Hot 100 Top 40. Clearly it shows the power of the Neptunes (the other co-writers), because it's never impressed me much at all. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Thanks. For a hit written by him for another artist I guess we have to go back a year earlier for "Most Girls" by Pink...

I won't front. I loved that song and album. It was a departure from the bland album The Day. It seems like Babyface just wanted to do a fun album and that's what i took from it. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

Face2Face. Yeah it seems like that was just yesterday. 12 years ago. Wow. Don't laugh at my funk

I'm not a big fan of The Day either. OTOH, I never even bought Face2Face. The only song I've enjoyed from face this millennium is "The Loneliness." "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I remember that song and video. Face grew his hair out some, put on some sunglasses and did the one hand clap. It was really fun. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I agree...The Day was a very bland album.

This is the type of music Miss Braxton should always record.

It seems like as soon as Face started getting the label as a genius..................his career tailed off. [Edited 8/14/13 6:12am]

I think his problem started, as soon as people like the Neptunes and other producers, like them came on the scene. It kinda made him get out of what he was used to doing, in order to keep up with what these, "young cats", were doing. Once he started thinking in that way, it caused him to change his sound, and that was all she wrote...smh "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

"There Goes My Baby" was a hit for Charlie Wilson. Wasn't that written after 2001? (Just wondering) **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

2009. I didn't know that because I don't follow Charlie's non-Gap Band work. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

2009. Charlie Wilson was nominated for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for his recording of the song.
