Robin Thicke's hit single "Blurred Lines" is officially no.1 on the
R&B Songs chart.

According to Billboard, the single soared from 6-1 this week, following strong gains in terms of play and downloads.

Featuring T.I. and Pharrell Williams, "Blurred Lines" unseated "Suit & Tie," Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z's hit single from The 20/20 Experience.

First time in history a white artist has replaced another white artist for the #1 spot on the R&B charts?

Can we put these two in a cage match already? lol lol

I'm sure it was intentional but the song still sounds too much like DSTYGE demo. Meh. Suit & Tie for me.

the song is so much better when u dont have to watch his dumb face singing it.

Been a Thicke fan for a long time - so really happy for him, he deserves it.

But I'm not really into the song - I can't understand how it's become an international hit - it's weird how some songs that do nothing for you get so much love from the majority.

"All Caught Up" is a hot song. "Blurred Lines" is a cool song. But I prefer "Suit & Tie".....

There's something about his image that doesn't click with his sound. He sings about sexuality and dances in videos with half naked women and it's just not convincing.

I know a lot of peeps don't like that song. But I love it! I feel it shows his deep soulful Tennessee vocal arrangements in it. Justin has a lot of soul in his body. He just has that deep soulful swagg that Justin Bieber wishes he had. Robin has it also.... You can't fake anything like that.Either you have it or you don't .

Agreed. I would never have listened to that batch of songs and picked "Suit & Tie" as the lead single. It's OK and it's grown on me a bit, but there are better choices everywhere.

Valid point...Robin seems like a nice Guy and is "Opie Taylor" @ Best...The Dude grew up Loving music thanks to his Famous Father. R&B moved him like no other genre, then he married his High School Biracial Hottie and has earned Respect in the R&B world and among Blacks. He can't dance to save his Life, but he has a Nice singing voice and the "look" that Chicks like.

**************************************************************

I give him credit because his stage presence has improved over time. He's a capable singer and he can look Smooth in any outfit you put him in. Is he a convincing Performer? I say Yes if he let's go of the Sexy chicks that Flocks around him on stage...LOL...I don't wanna Playa Hate the Brotha too bad, just trying to keep it Real.

Considering his somewhat geeky image when he first debuted in the early 2000s, I think he was adviced to change to a sexier style if he wanted to gain mass appeal. And it worked. So I agree that it doesn't look really genuine, but it helped making him successful and he pulls off the suit and haircut really well cool

I seriously would have pegged him for a Weird Al Yankovic lookalike when he released his debut record.
