King Pleasure - "Moody's Mood For Love" This is the only song I can remember that used to be on my Dads's "Payday Playlist". Don't know if he got a check today, but it forever reminds me of Friday. So, Happy Friday!

Not familiar with this version, but I have heard George Benson's. I remember the local Quiet Storm radio show would play this song every night. It was a show where they played slow jams and dedications.

I knew of it from an episode of the Cosby Show, season 6, Heathcliff is telling Olivia's grandad why he does not have the record, and wehn he dosen't believe it, Heathcliff starts singing the song.
Interesting old song, definetly pre rock and roll. This version according to Wikipedia dates from 1954. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Cool tune. "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

He has 2 versions, one from 1975 and the more well known version with Patti Austin in 1980. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton
