I love this thread! I may have missed it, but I do not think anyone has mentioned "True" by Spandau Ballet.

Additional tracks that fit the topic:

Jamiroquai - "Falling" (1999), "Blow Your Mind" (1993), "Stillness In Time" (1994)

Steve Winwood - "Plenty Lovin'" (1997)

Hall and Oates She's Gone. What a tune! Apparently their new album is a real return to their early days. I've seen some really great reviews of it.

There are some great moments on the new album, particularly the ballads.I wrote a review of it on the Hall and Oates thread called "Hall and Oates new CD due February 11".

I was asking for songs from a friend of mine yesterday and it also mentioned True. He also mentioned "I'm Not In Love" by 10cc.
I also thought of some more songs while I was on the train this morning:

Midnight at the Oasis-Maria Muldaur
I Wanna Make It With You-Bread

Thans todd305. I will check out the Jamiroquai tracks.

Anytime I hear anyone mention Bobby Caldwell's Catwalk, it makes me want to jump for joy! I dig all your choices as well!

Uptown Deb! Thank you for mentioning Duran Duran!

Liberty is very soulful as well, and they also did a cover of Bowie's Fame, which was mentioned earlier. Come Undone is another soulful track as well.
