Not familiar with this version, but I have heard George Benson's. I remember the local Quiet Storm radio show would play this song every night. It was a show where they played slow jams and dedications.

I remeber "jammin' on the 1" and Rudy singing Ray by the stairs, but not this!

He has 2 versions, one from 1975 and the more well known version with Patti Austin in 1980.
