Prince went roller-skating with The Jacksons.

http://www.contactmusic.c...ce_3614708

La Toya Jackson tells The Hollywood Reporter she stopped short of dating the Purple Rain singer even though she knew he liked her when they went out roller skating in the San Fernando Valley.

She says, "Prince did like me, yes, but I didn't date him. We've gone roller skating, but not just with me - I think (friend) Kathy Hilton was there, my brother Michael was there, my sister (Janet) was there. So it was like a group."

La Toya is currently looking for love after confessing she has not been on a date since hermarriage to former manager Jack Gordon ended in 1997.

Wow.

I pray that one day we will get the whole story about Prince his relationship with The Jackson's. I think they were HUGE fans of each other and sharing a healthy competition. I know MJ was a big fan and I love MJ even more for sharing that.

Here's a snapshot of Prince giving MJ a standing ovation after his Grammy Performance in 1988.

^In all fairness, Prince had to stand up with everyone else after the performance or risk looking like a jealous tool. Nonetheless, I'm sure he had respect for Michael as an artist.

As for Latoya, she was cute back in the day, but nothing outstanding. Prince seems like the type who would've hooked up with her just to humiliate Michael since he was the competition. Then again, maybe it was genuine?

I truly believe that the whole Prince vs Michael was moreso media/fan driven. I'm sure that there was a mutual respect, but neither was threatened by the other. So, a healthy competition is what it was.

It absolutely was media driven. It's been established that Prince and Michael were friends and each loved what the other did. Of course, they still felt the need to try and outdo each other lol

Both are on record calling the other "a genius".

It's La Toya, she's never been worth the time of day. Being a Jackson, she also has that inbuilt lying gene they seemingly have. Horrible people. Another case of thank goodness for the music (Not La Toya though, she was always dire)

Well it didn't turn out too healthy for MJ - he wanted to surpass the record Prince set for playing in London and look where that got him. MJ was obsessed with setting world records & Prince set a record that he wanted to beat. Foolish and in the end deadly.

True story:

I was at a party with Geraldo Rivera. This was sometime back in the 90's, after Michael's first child molestation accusation was settled.

Geraldo was taking questions, and of course Michael's case came up. I think Geraldo had covered it extensively. During the course of his answer he said, "Believe it or not, the sanest person in the entire Jackson family is LaToya".

In the 90s and when Geraldo had Latoya on the show, she was trapped (passport confiscated, mob threats) and controlled by abuse at the hands of her husband who also made himself her manager. She may have been "sane" but she was also parroting answers that her manager/husband told her to say under threats of physical fights. So... Geraldo got the answers his TV show needed.

What I like about this story is that it connects Prince to the Jacksons early on. It's like R&B Royalty.

of course he would say that, she stayed on the daytime talk shows and was at that time the only family member willing to give them what they wanted.

All Jacksons are normal apart from La Toya who still thinks she is a teenager and seems socially retarded.

Obviously Michael can be added to the list to for reasons I don't need to explain.

What's wrong with Randy. Tito, Marlon, Jermaine??? - Yeah, some of them may come across as money hungry and attention seeking, but in this day in age who isn't with reality shows, you tube etc...

That's hot! And Bobby heard LaToya's "Night Time Lover", then wrote "You And I" for Switch.

You know, I was listening to the radio the other day
And I heard the words that you said that I'm your night time lover
And here's something I wrote especially for you and me

I have some magazines from the 1970s that feature Jackson 5, and Latoya usually got her own articles in there too, like she was part of the group! Question and answers, stats and favorites, and banal stuff about how she did her hair.

I was always confused by that. Was he hinting at the fact that HE wrote it?

That's what I'd always assumed he was getting at but that has been debated and disputed here before.

Why is he an asswipe? He knows it's Janet.Jimmy and Terry who wrote the song. He was just yelling that for fun as in this is the kind of song I could've written. On audio file I think he actually says "Did I write that??" lol It's Prince's way of complimenting the song lol

Anyways He's been playing that song to death as recently as W2A shows. Im sure Janet is honored but personally I'd like to see him dance to All 4 U or Feedback instead.
