Yep,all of her classic 70s albums. The 'I Remember Yesterday' album has a surprise.....a totally different version of "Can't We Just Sit Down (And Talk It Over)"! Sounds like an early demo version with different vocals.Go here and listen to the sample....
It's sad that her 80s catalogue is ignored. Some of her best work are on those albums.
Nonetheless it's nice to see these remasters appear on Itunes
She Works Hard For The Money, her most successful 80s album, has been remastered. Here's what a fan wrote about it....
I played the ones I got off of ITunes, the 2013 Def Jam releases there last night. I can only say She Works Hard For The Money is amazing. The hiss in the background and between tracks is gone. He's A Rebel, I Do Believe, People People sound simply amazing. Donna's vocals on People People has sure been cleaned up, I noticed with headphones there is the left and right but you can also hear her vocals so clear in the "middle" of the phones if this makes sense until you hear it.
When you go to iTunes to download these albums, make sure that the album says "2013 The Island Def Jam Music Group".That means that is newly remastered/reissued.

It would be nice if they reissued them on CD with bonus tracks. Except for "The Wanderer", I already have all of them so I don't necessarily think I would repurchase them unless they included some killer extended versions or some unreleased material.

What else did you buy Soul? I have Donna's stuff on on vinyl, after comparing my download of the live album to album... it was worth it.
So far,I only bought Live And More.Gonna enjoy this one for awhile before buying the others I too have all of these albums on vinyl (and CDs,too) but it's refreshing to hear a good remaster, especially Live And More,an album that truly needed it.
My next purchase will be Once Upon A Time.I listened to the sound clips and it all sounds amazing...especially "Now I Need You" (my favorite song on the album).

I agree.I would rather have "physical" copies of these remasters....with bonus tracks and all.But you really should listen to the sound clips. You will hear a vast improvement in the sound! I just couldn't resist, lol.

OK. That was some crazy ass typing. *corrected it*
"Live and More" really needed it. I wouldn't have mind them offering her stuff in nice box set package with all types of goodies also. I purchased, "I Remembered Yesterday" and "She Works Hard For The Money". Thanks for the hook-up... I would've never known.
the original Live And More CD doesn't even contain the 'MacArthur Park Suite' which is totally unforgivable They apparently couldn't fit it on the CD so they put "Theme From The Deep" instead,as if that makes up for such a glaring omission, lol
Thank God that they finally corrected that crazy mistake. It's here on this iTunes remaster
What do you think of the version of "Can't We Just Sit Down (And Talk It Over)" that is included on this remaster? It sounds like an early demo,to me.Donna isn't singing with her full, powerful voice.I prefer the regular version.
Good news, even if these really should have come out a decade ago, on CD, with extended versions/demos/outtakes/booklets with unseen photos and behind-the-scenes interviews and details on what Donna, Giorgio and every session musician had for breakfast on the days of recording. Ah well, mustn't grumble.
Still waiting for her '80s albums (SWHFTM aside) to get the reissue love that they deserve.

No she isn't, I wonder which version was take one and two? Or, it may have been they couldn't find the recording/tape of that version, it happens. Even so I thought the remastered versions strings and background vocals were clearer and will suited to complement Ms. Summer's vocals.
Are any of these gonna come out on CD as remasters? Anyone know? Thanks in advance!
These Universal/Def Jam remasters were all released last year in Japan as, what they call, SHM-CD (Super High Material CD) [???] with cardboard mini-LP sleeves. They're a bit pricey; usually $30 and up.

They did a great job with these can't wait to get 'Once Upon A Time'.

On The Radio will be one of my future purchases.I heard alot of good things about this particular remaster
Even though I recently bought the iTunes remaster of Live And More,I may still buy the actual Japan import CD.It's that good It's worth having the physical copy.
