Saw/heard him perform live on Jools Holland yesterday, I thought he was shite. He was totally trying to be Prince, and failing miserably at it. Even my girlfriend noticed without me having to point it out. I'll pass...

Read it here

He should be sued. I wouldn't care if the person who injured me was my most favorite singer ever, that stunt could have paralyzed 1 of those girls.

Apparently the two women he landed on didn't get hurt, so what would they sue him on? For "potentially injuring" them?

Now that I'm looking at it a Zillion times thanks to that Gif, he actually landed on his Ass but his Legs took out the 2 chicks. Slowing the Vid down will render a better observation of course... What he did was just plain CRAZY. Someone should have told the Brotha that if Mike Jackson NEVER tried a stunt like that when he was Living then he should have left that Shit ALONE....To my knowledge the People in the Pit were his Fans so that could be why both Chicks said they WERE cool. Or maybe they're just honest and squashed it before there could be more Drama attached to it.....

more and more

when I read these type of comments

I realize black people in this country is existing in the most perilous state there is

we are on the very brink..and it's real

this society has been condititioned to respond to the effect rather than discerning the cause of behavior or why people respond to circumstances the way they do

this system called racism (and it is a system) has been internalized in the psyche of black america while being suppressed in the collective response of white america because the root of the problem has never, ever been dealt with, which leads to these type of hostile comments

but we all gone learn.....real soon

for if the racial divide no longer existed (like millions have been led to believe), we wouldn't witness these type of comments

money, priviledge, stature, vice, or agenda won't be able to protect us from this reality much longer...only a matter of time

Racism directed by blacks towards whites. I('ve) hear(d) it all the time. "Oh that guy over their hates rap. He's just a wanna-be n**ga and that's why he listens to it." "Why's that white guy trying out for the basketball team?" "Look at that n***a hanging with those white guys. He's such a wanna be cracker" "Whitey don't call me anything offensive but let me call you whatever I want no matter how offensive it is."

I know that blacks still are a minority and I'm not saying this applies to most blacks but it seems to me it's becoming more and more acceptable for black people to be racist towards whites. Often times the racism whites gave towards blacks decades ago is used for justification. It doesn't matter whether or not your race was a victim of racism. That's no justification for committing the act.

Miguel doesn't have to worry about Black people being the most judgmental people in the world, because in court one person will be the most judgmental of all: the judge presiding over this lawsuit.

I have Whites, Blacks & Latinos in my Circle of Friends. We all have different personalities of course. We all admit to saying things about other races when we're with our Family or Friends of the same race. What we don't do is call people of other races out of their names and make racial slurs. I'm sure you agree having a mature discussion and making general comments about another race of people doesn't make you a racist.

You say you HEAR racist crap all the time? Based on what you heard you obviously need to CHECK the folks you're hanging with..better yet check yourself because YOU choose to be around people that talk like that....Why would you allow that kind of negative Spirit/energy into your life even for 5 minutes?

It's not from the people I'm friends with. I'd never choose to be with people like that. I have plenty of friends of all races who aren't judgmental at all.

Reverse racism would be moving into a country, killing its native peoples, capturing whites, enslaving them and their ancestors for hundreds of years while making them build said country, then creating a system of oppression where blacks freely and willingly deny whites educatiional, social and financial equality at the same time telling them to "get over it" and "pick yourselves up."

Yeah, blacks do that all of the time. rolleyes

Anyone can be a bigot. You have to be in a social ruling class to be a racist and discriminate with any force that is actually oppressive. Otherwise its ineffective.

Like Louis C.K. once said "Being white, there really isn't any name you can call me that's offensive."

That said, I agree with Miguel. Black folks can be hard as hell on other black folk.

This "every celebrity is illuminati" shit really needs to stop. There's this other thing that makes you successful that doesn't involve joining a secret society; its called hard work.

That doesn't mean you get to jump on white girls' necks wearing skinny jeans and loafers. Somebody tell that fool that he's only bout' 4 foot 1 and his name ain't Spud Webb! lol

Miguel Doubles Down on ‘Black’ Comment and Explains what He Meant

Miguel*Miguel has a bone to pick with all you judgmental black folk out there. The singer recently put his foot in his mouth via Twitter.

In his message,as we reported, he scolded black people for being prejudiced, despite the fact many of his fans are black (good PR buddy). His comments struck a chord with some pretty angry Twitterbugs (presumably of color), and now they want his head on a spit (or at least an explanation).

Alas, it’s been a tough month’s end for the poor boy. It wasn’t long ago when he almost decapitated some chick after landing on her neck during a failed attempt to leap over an entire crowd of people while performing his already classic single, “Adorn” at the recent Billboard Awards. No one knows why he did it. But many people have theorized that his skin-tight pants were far too snug for a distance jump of that magnitude (they just didn’t allow enough spring).

The helpless victim appeared to be in good spirits despite being forced to swallow Miguel’s entire leg. He even invited her backstage after his performance to make amends. But in a baffling turn of events, the injured party has decided to take legal action against Miguel for damages, reports show. Who could have seen this coming? The nerve of some people these days.

As far as his comments about finger-pointing black people are concerned, Miguel isn’t backing down. Instead, the adroit crooner has decided to get philosophical (like Buddha).

Everyone is judgmental,” he reiterated while talking to DJs at BBC Radio in the UK. “We’re all judgmental because we’re human. We only live our reality, so we don’t understand everything.”

Although he has received negative (and positive) reactions to the controversial statements, Miguel is sticking to his guns.

“I see more Black people tearing down other Black people than I see any other culture tearing down their own culture, no matter what they’re doing,” he said, specifically in reference to bloggers. “We’re tearing each other down.”

Miguel continued, “It’s so easy to hide behind your influence and use it for personal gain. It really takes a bit of backbone to speak your mind on the issues that really bother you. That was the intention. I’ll be the artist and the man who will stand by his opinion, express his opinion, and be open and honest with people.”

He does have a point....

When trying to portray intelligence horribly backfires. Sick of these "artists" today making these statements, thinking what theyre saying is so incredibly profound lol. You have to be mindful of your audience when you run your mouth. there are certain things you just cant say to MILLIONS of people.

Right, if he had used Twitlonger and what he said in the BBC Radio interview intead of tweeting Black ppl are the most judgemental ppl in the world, he wouldnt be getting this backlash. Tweeting while upset, drunk or angry can be a dangerous thing.
