Video killed the radio star - The Buggles.

Unfortunately some have only been exposed to sub par talent. When something mediocre comes along, they gush all over it like it's something great. It's not. Sadly, too many people don't know the difference. They are attracted to such BS because artists have gotten deals based on looks, image, appeal, not talent.

There was a time when you had to sing well, know how to play your instrument, and actually have some kind of ability. Those days are gone. For every artist that has the golden voice now, there are another 10 on the charts who wouldn't make it in an amateur competition.
