Jimi Hendrix's Legacy Being Tarnished by Rapper, "Future"

First he wants to make it clear what his version of "Black Woodstock" is. And for you Jimi heads, he is naming his album "Future Hendrix" How do you like that? When he doesn't play guitar & sings distorted auto tune.

Audience, how you taking this? lol PaliGap? lol Graycap? lol

:dances to future boogie This album cover is going to be SO disrespectful.

Get Ready in the meantime you can cop that Freeband Woodstock:

Future Hendrix dropping in 2013 Look at that cover. lol

I know we have some closet Future fans here. cool

I don't believe anyone will think less of Jimi because of this moron. His legacy is his own. This is hardly the first lame impersonator to come knocking.

I'm sure he will get the audience he deserves. Hopefully he will promote the cause of "peace and love" to those people and sell a lot of lava lamps. Because lava lamps are awesome, everybody needs at least one functional one.

People who have never heard of Hendrix will be introduced to the word "Hendrix" by Future all OVER the world. I don't think it helps the Hendrix legacy. I don't think he will promote Lava Lamps w/ this Future Hendrix project, Bandz is what Future is about. lol Even Andre 3K didn't call his album "Andre Hendrix" lol Maybe someone can talk to future but I bet the Hendrix family doesn't want his artist image associated w/ "Jimi"

No, "Future Hendrix" album is on Epic Records and it is being released this year. My point is that Hendrix estate if they could would stop this. A lot of people are upset that he is going through w/ this.

A little bit tongue n cheek, how did I waste 5 minutes, you listened to a track for 30 seconds? It may have seemed like 5 minutes, lol Future is king of the distorted auto tune, he's lighting up the streets & bringing the autotune squelch up to 11. lol

I've been okay, Shuggie Otis deluxe edition of Inspiration Information drops this week. I think I will be buying that. cool

Based on your description of him, I didn't even bother listening to it, but somehow this reminds me of the time when Kanye proclaimed that his next album will be the "Songs In The Key Of Life for today" or something along those lines. Fail. smile Or when Puff Daddy wins a Grammy for basically ripping off an entire track someone else wrote (Every Breath...).

How many flash-pans have gone to Jimi's well over the last 40+ years?
