That's just it.. That verse has nothing to do with the Trip. He is saying he's a boy from Brooklyn and has white house clearance' you know this kid that grew up in the pj's now can get in to the White House to see the POTUS..

Jay Z was responding to the controversy he is receiving due to going to Cuba, period.

It has nothing to do with the bolded.

It backfired.

Right. I'm sorry Banks but dude definitely got fucked up over being criticized for going to Cuba. Since Beyonce ain't gonna do it, he's doing it because "he's a rapper, he has to" or whatever. rolleyes

Because he is not a real MC and he does not care about social issues or norms that affects people or the world. He just cares about money and his own reputation, fuck him and his corny ass rhymes.

I wonder if he played this for his "boy" Obama, the politicians you have issue with INCLUDE him, he controls who gets investigated, wanna be real Jay, bring it all out, him pulling back like that still shows his double standards

lol

Jay Z doesnt have any problems with politicians. Jay Z has a problem with anybody fucking with his money lol That is the ONLY thing he cares about.

I dont see why he thinks he is so special because he knows the president. lol

MJ was invited to the white house multiple times during multiple periods of his career and meant 3-4 presidents and had the keys to all their white houses but he didnt make songs about it.. I mean come on lol He acting like he just won the lottery just because he knows Obama lol

Plenty of people have meant Obama and have worked with him closely.

Even people who arent millionaires or celebrities.

Thing is though in other cirumstances where people have gone to CUBA the exact thing has happend to them, Jay is not special in that respect, he has money, but in the WORLD PICTURE of money he's like an ANT, hes making it like he was John Lennon back in the 70's and he is being watched, shit the only reason ANYONE knew you were going to CUBA was because your wife tweeted it all over the place.

Please JAY, go away, go close the deal on Robinson Cano.

Jay operates on a double standard is basically my point, if you wanna talk about politicians, OBAMA is one of them, just because this is linked to the Treasury Department dont mean nothing, he is the president he knows what is going on in all avenues. That is why you had the White House Press sec come down and talk on this, WHICH brings up another good point, North Korea is about to start firing off weapons at South Korea etc...and your white house is issuing a statemtent about Jay Z? Really? Priorities, whos running that show there, not good.

Media stars crack me up. They whore the spotlight but then get mad when they get criticized.

Go away..... and stop doing things to bring attention on yourself and then you wont be watched or criticized.

I saw your point earlier and agree.... I was being sarcastic with the other stuff earlier lol

Pop culture is running the show around here.... its actually pretty scary and your right Jay Z is hyprocritical which is why I do not take him seriously. I just think he will say anything to seem "political" or "likable".

Thing is that he isnt being watched, Jay has no clue what others went through, being watched, next he is gonna compare himself with Dr King, JAY no one is watching you till you do the 50th thing after 49 things dont work, John Lennon was being watched, John Lennon was considered "Dangerous" to the system, JAY Z isnt even in the system, the system doesnt give a flying F about him, not being rude just saying no one that high up cares JAY. You are not dangerous son. You arent the JOhn Lennon of this time, please.

In 2011, Didn't Fux News and the usual suspects criticize Obama for inviting so-called "vile rapper" Common to perform at the White House over his anti-Bush lyrics?

lol Tell us how you really feel? lol

Good points.

By the way I agree, if he compares himself to Dr. King/John Lennon... than that man has really lost his mind.

I cant believe the white house actually issued a statement about the song lol

Lemme tell y'all what went down.

Nobody gave a crap about this Cuba trip till two Cubans in congress started raising hell and demanding an investigation into their travel permits. The exile community that Fidel kicked out of the country fifty years ago is going ape and making Fux News look like boy scouts. Those are the people that Ileana Ros Leitinen and her co-hort, Mario Diaz Balart pander to. All of this hoopla is coming straight from old hard line Miami Republicans.

What's funny is that I have yet to see them or any other politician demanding an investigation into Dennis Rodman's trip to North Korea where he actually met with an enemy leader who is threatening the US and it's ally S. Korea as we speak.

Yet another manufactured crisis...SMDH.
