Solid album. Not sure why they get all the hate. Great riffs and hooks. Patrick Stump is a helluva singer and self-proclaimed obsessive Prince fan.
Their music is a whole lot better than alot of the other pop-rock music that is out nowadays. Definitely a band that doesn't take themselves too seriously (album title is tongue-in cheek). | |

I love me some FOB, mainly because Patrick Stump is so damn talented. Seriously, that kid has skills. He's got a hell of a voice, can play several instruments and he's funky. I'm still trying to figure out what I think of the new album. It's very big sounding and anthemic. I loved their last album. Patrick Stump's solo album was also my album of the year last year. | |

I find it funny all the hostility to pop music nowadays. I watched the speech Dave Grohl gave at SXSW where he talks about "guilty pleasures" His response is theres no such thing as them. Music should be fun. He admits that Gangham Style is arguably his fav pop song of the past decade.
People need to get over themselves and just just enjoy life. I like deep, though provoking music as much as the next person, but shit sometimes i just want to hear an infectious melody. I'm a hardcore craft beer geek, but I'll be damned if a cold Miller High Life isn't tasty as hell on a hot summer day! | |

Brilliant album, if you go to it expecting 'pop-punk' you will be severely disappointed but if you expect a fantastic pop record you won't be disappointed. My favourites at the moment are The Phoenix, Miss Missing You, Death Valley, Rat a Tat and the title track. Patrick doing his solo record (which I thought was one of the albums of the year) has obviously done wonders for his voice and confidence as he sounds amazing throughout. If you listen to Alpha Dog then this record it sounds like a totally natural progression to me  only stinker is The Mighty Fall imo as I don't feel Big Sean really adds much, but overall a very cohesive, fun record | |

glad to see some love for Stump's solo record
if that had been a Fall Out Boy release, I think it would have been a hit
so far "Where Did The Party Go" stands out to me but barely and you know something must be wrong if an album is full of guests (kinda like Raveun2TheJoyFantastic) [Edited 4/11/13 8:52am] | |
