How would you rate Common as a rapper? Not a huge fan and I wouldn't even have him in my top 20. I get that he wants to make a difference and be a community leader of some sort, but he is too earnest and preachy and lacks humor. What say you? "Lack of home training crosses all boundaries." | |

Common is one the greatest rappers to ever come on the scene. He and Mos Def are on the same playing field, IMO. Both are extremely talented yet extremely underrated. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. | |
