iTunes Genius

I've just started using this and I'm impressed. My library is quite large and there are hundreds of songs that never get a listen in but Genius really does a good job of digging some of them out.

Anyone else use it?

I haven't yet, I will though just out of curiosity.

I'm hearing mixed reviews about so I might as well try and see how it is.

I guess it depends what your library looks like. I have roughly ten thousand songs in it so it's not too shabby. Used to be more but I run out of space a lot due to having everything lossless and about ten times the size of an mp3.

The actual recommendations Genius made I don't like but the ones it creates when you ask it to from a song you're playing are okay. Really okay actually. Don't expect much if you try a Prince song mind you. Unless you like bland, American, 80s.

I use Genius all the time, one of the redeeming values of iTunes. My library is huge also and Genius does an excellent job of mixing the music up. So much so I don't create playlist much anymore.
