Gotta be honest, I like EVERY track off the new album, but if I had to choose which one to take off, it'd be this one. Still, not a bad track

There doing it to be annoying.
The song sounds like Cry Me A River part II... its an okay song nothing to jump up and down about.

The second part is excellent.
That part of the video and the music itself. It has all these influences from late-60s / early-70s avant garde cinema and eary electronic music from the same era. It's just a bit odd to have that sort of a section inserted right after what indeed sounds like a "Cry Me A River" type of a song. I suppose it could help me understand this guy's artistic attempts a bit better if I could just get over his "boyband" type of vocals. I could imagine someone like Maxwell singing this instead. Can't say I hate the actual product though.

The video reminds me of the MOVIE La Vie en Rose To make a thief, make an owner; to create crime, create laws.

It sounds very dated, as in 90's boy band dated. I didn't let it finish, and it's not something that I would listen to again. IF I heard this on the radio (not likely for me), I would change stations.

It changes completely around the 5:30 mark.
The first part is too boyband-ish for my taste as well, but I suppose it's really just his vocals that support that impression.

Ok, but I couldn't make it that far

Okay, I admit. I've been watching this fucking shit on repeat now for hours, because it's so good. The part when the girl appears in the mirrors, he sits on the floor and those Moog / ARP -style synths are introduced is just... wow.

^ Having listened to the disc a couple of times the best stuff in all the songs happen after the 4:20 mark. [Edited 3/22/13 10:05am] The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

After listening to it a "couple of times" I can appreciate the first part too. The two parts do complement each other. It starts out as something far more mainstream and then turns into this surreal thing - a very cinematic strategy. What can I say? I think this is good art.

My only issue with Timberlake per say, has nothing to really do with his music or talent, for the most part. But going on shows and coming off like your are this "back to basics" guy, bands live music and then your "big cd return" has not ONE live musician on it, everything is processed through a computer, so i dont get his constant double standard. The video is lovely but this song is boring. I swore I heard songs with this beat and melody before. Oh well.

I think Mozart probably laid out all the arrangements for all music today
I guess I would just shut the music off then, its all been done. To make a thief, make an owner; to create crime, create laws.

True, though I give him props for having a live band that would make Britney Spears burbing into the microphone sound like the best thing around.
The live versions of these songs actually sound dare I say good, which is the point of live performance.

Another thing:
He seems to be going for a theme here, but as one critic noted only a few songs (2 or 3) actually harken back to that theme. So what's the point other than style for style's sake?
He flunked "Theme Building 101" from Madonna.
And people hate on Lana Del Rey for being all style, but she's pretty up front about creating mood, fostering meloncholy characterization and taking poetic license.
