Don't know why "Hypnotize" is all the way down at #25. Or "Mo Money Mo Problems", songs that actually stayed at #1 for weeks that year, and still heard today.

Born in 83 and I know 83 of the 100 songs, remember all of them when they came out....not sure why I Love You Always Forever is included here when it came out in 1996, at least here if not in the US. I know Macarena came out here in 95' as well, and I'm a bit of a date geek so I know I have those right.

I was going to mention this as well. I believe some dude Los Del Mar or something did the first Macarena in 1995, then Bayside Boys or whoever revived it for 1997.

I know that "You're Makin' Me High" was a 1996 single as it was the lead single on Secrets, which I remember vividly as the EARLY summer of 1996, so it shouldn't have been on here. Of course, I expect "Un Break My Heart" to be repped on 1997's list.

Expected more Usher, considering how Az Yet was repped.

"Make Em Say Unhh" didn't really blow up until 1998 (I remember it felt like a very old song by then, as I was on Ghetto D in 1997).

This Billboard countdown is for songs that were hits in 1997, not songs that were released in 1997. "Macarena" was such a big hit for so long that even though it was the Billboard #1 song of 1996, it still got so much airplay the following year that it finished at #82 for the top songs of 1997.

The video is a bit confusing because it mentions the peak chart position, whether or not it was in 1997 or not.
