Hello everyone!

i know everybody around think that Bruno is just a mainstream popstar whose music is cheesy and stuff.. but y'all should listen to his new album "Unorthodox Jukebox"

Never heard great music and production like that in albums today! i know he's mainstream but he's kinda underrated cuz people think he's regular but actually as a vocalist, never thought he'd be such a great one!

That 2:55 falsetto got Prince all over it..

There's also "Treasure", a song that brings Funk back and got great instruments.

"Moonshine" is somehow an unrecoreded material by Michael Jackson.

and you should listen to "Natalie"! lyrics and the story of it are great and catchy.

"Show Me" the reggae tune!

I personally don't like "Locked out of Heaven"or "Young Girls", his other songs are better and too good to be album-tracks.

He us not underrated

he is getting the acolades he deserves

he IS good and he is whats hot right nw so I dont know why you say he is underrated or misunderstood

What i meant is that people think he's a regular popstar who uses auto-tune and almost everybody judges him because of his 1st album songs.

Ok, I can see where you were coming from but you do your own meaning of Bruno being a remarkable talent a disservice when you state "That 2:55 falsetto got Prince all over it..".......

Why can't Bruno be Bruno..i.e. good on his own merits without having to cop?

he's a pain in the neck

the most irritating thing I've heard in a long time, he sounds like a nasal 12 year old boy who's discovering his sexuality

by comparison, Bieber (post-Baby material) is even moderately bearable

What do you even mean by "I can see where you were coming from?"! With my all respect don't judge a person without knowing anything about him!

I stated that Bruno performed a falsetto that is similar to Prince's ones. That's all.

And yet i admit that Bruno shouldn't be compared to previous artists.. though i even never meant that.

Bruno Mars is underrated as a performer and I am definitly going to check out his album. I really want to get more into his music. I am going to check out the songs you recommended and give you my feedback.

Saw Bruno on SNL a while ago. He was in a few skits where he sang and I thought he sounded great, but when he performed his own song, I was less than impressed. He has a decent voice, but his songs are weak IMO.

bruno mars suck regardless of the nature of his songs they still suck . i find him overrated and wouldnt pay 2.00 to see him live

Though i've not seen his 2010-2011 old stuff, i somehow think Grenade and Marry You are awful songs and lyrically? Catching grenades is too stupid to be the main lyrical content of the song.

But ever since i heard his new songs i'm so getting into his music, like the 80s-70s thing going on in the album! Cuz i missed some Funk, New Wave, reggae, Pop/R&b and pop rock all in one album.

I almost bought it today but I settled for Pink's new one, which is really good.

Bruno is really talented and he knows music unlike his peers. Btw don't care about what people on here say about him, some of these people prefer people like Miguel and Frank Ocean, who are weak imitations of Prince and weak vocalists/performers. (Frank Ocean is a good songwriter tho)... Bruno is a good pop artist and it's good to know there are still some artists that know how to perform live!

He screeches/shouts to hit notes which aren't particularly high in all his performances.

And his live performances are complete imitations of legends like James Brown, amongst others.

Frank Ocean is good as a songwriter as you said but performer? He's so overrated and critics used to say that his album is a masterpiece and stuff like that

I agree tho, but never seen a great special performance vocally or musically by him so far. He looks like a market stuff from Def Jam.

at 2:32 he went so high with that note from Unchained Melody, and Sir Elton John himself was surprised by that (you can tell that immediately)

Plus its known that not every performer should go high with his voice in every performance.

I won't lie Bruno has talent... and his live stuff is pretty good.

But i HATE his songs his first album was like Billy Joel / Elvis wannabe tunes.

Now it's Police / Sting wannabe tunes.

I just find the songs so cheesy and Grenade is one of the worst pop songs imo to come out in the past 10 years

I just can't get into his music...

If he had better songs then i might... who knows in the future he might suprise.

Yeah his first album sucks xD!

but i recommend you to take a listen to the songs i mentioned up there.

I used to hate him so much but now i realized i just missunderstood his way to put music together.

Did you check out the song he did with Esperanza Spalding? or Moonshine ?... and I think his musical style is basically Michael Jackson/Billy Joel/ Richie Valens (his father was probably a fan of his) Elvis/motown and The Police.
