what's up with Timberland drum sound i never liked Timberland production if we can call him that way.But the thing that bothers me is how outdated his drum machine sound today.Justins new song while not bad havw awful drum machine pattern with nothong going on.it's like somebody makes a synth pop album in the era of grunge.Does Timberland really think that nothing changed since 2004

It sounds to me like something Ginuwine rejected, but it gets stuck in your head too.

Timbo's production has been stale for a good 7 or 8 years now. He had a good run from '98 till about 2004, that's more than most producers have. |

I loved the crazy basslines and beats from his earliest albums, where the sound was almost a variation on drum n bass UK sounds. After Aaliyah passed he sort of abandoned that style and went disco... And has been on the same beat since.

I love the work he did with Aaliyah, Ginuwine, Missy, SWV, Total and Magoo (wtf happened to him?) in the 90's and didn't really care for him after Aaliyah passed though I liked the Justin Timberlake songs, but IMO he really came back strong 2006-2008 with the work he did with Nelly Furtado, Justin, Madonna, Rihanna and the tracks on Shock Value. A couple of 2010 tracks were well done too. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but he's a hard worker that's paid his dues, and no media is telling me that, the music simply gets me moving.

His peak was from 96-01 IMO.
