I think they only made one album.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Wow, they only made one album? So all those hits were from that album?

How many did they make as Club Nouveau?

Timex Social Club and Club Nouveau are two completely different groups with completely different members. Club Nouveau is actually the group Denzil Foster and Thomas McElory ( the guys who put together and produced En Vouge) were in. A lot of people think they are the same because of the similarities in their sound. When Timex Social Club broke up, Club Nouveau recorded "Jealousy" sort of like a response to rumors.

Club Nouveau does have a compilation album though.

Damn, I always thought they included some of the same members in both bands because on eah of their bios, the other band is always mentioned.

Both groups had the same kind of artwork too.

True. Club Nouveau also sampled Timex Social Club's "Thinkin' About Ya" in "Why You Treat Me So Bad."

It adds more to the confusion.

Jay King who created Club Nouveau and Denzil Foster later of Club Nouveau produced "Rumors" and probably a couple of other songs for Timex. That's where the influence in Nouveau came from. I dont think they were ever in the band. I believe King also managed them.

Edit: Jay King, Denzil and Thomas McElroy were members of Timex. After "Rumors" hit big, the rest of the group signed a deal with another company.

Regarding Club Nouveau, I there's not many choices when it comes to compilation albums.

This one's alright and includes "Rumors."

http://thumprecords.com/Greatest%20Hits/Club%20Nouveaus%20Greatest%20Hits.jpg I would stay away from this. The vocals are rerecorded.
