Beyonce's digital album sales jump 230%Destiny's Child rocket more than 600% in week ending Feb. 3

Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show has predictably sent sales of her music skyrocketing.

The diva headlined the Super Bowl XLVII halftime festivities in New Orleans last night (Feb. 3), where she performed eight songs and reunited with Destiny's Child.

Industry sources suggest that in the week ending Feb. 3, Beyonce's digital album sales jumped by over 230%. Meanwhile, those of her group Destiny's Child soared by more than 600%. That latter increase is inordinately large as it includes sales of the trio's brand new "Love Songs" compilation, released last Tuesday. The set features one new recording, "Nuclear."

The album sales gains are also aided by discount pricing in both the iTunes and Amazon MP3 stores. The former discounted key earlier titles from Beyonce and Destiny's Child to $7.99 while the latter marked them down to between $5 and $7.99.

In terms of digital song sales, Beyonce's grew by an estimated 85% while Destiny Child's rose by over 300%.

Beyonce's biggest selling song of the week was "Halo," which closed her eight-song halftime set. The biggest Destiny's Child song of the week, according to early data, looks to be "Say My Name" (which was not part of the halftime medley). Two Destiny's Child tunes were performed at the Super Bowl: "Bootylicious" and "Independent Women (Part 1)."

The week's official Nielsen SoundScan sales figures for Beyonce and Destiny's Child will be released on Wednesday (Feb. 6). Further impact from the halftime show will be felt next week, after a full seven days' worth of sales are registered post-game.

Beyonce & Destiny Childs 's performance has paid off in a big way. "Say my Name" is my favorite song by them..Too bad they didn't perform it.

If Destinys Child sold 100 albums last week and sold 700 this week that is a 600% increase. It's not like either(DC or Beyonce) was moving millions last week and their numbers multiplied 6 fold overnight. Happy for them but this is a numbers shell game. Better to hype the percentages than the actual numbers which may not sound as impressive.

When you break it down mathematically, that's not that impressive.

The industry can spin it can't they! It's sounds impressive being up 600%, but from what previos total?? wacky

They will never disclose the total number of downloads, espcially if the previous total was under 10. It's easy to be up 600% from that! lol

Beyonce & Destiny’s Child’s Songs Receive Post-Super Bowl Sales Bump

While the power in New Orleans’ Superdome was a bit iffy following Beyonce‘s Super Bowl halftime performance on Sunday (February 3) evening, one thing was guaranteed: the superstar diva was certain to see a spike in sales of her back catalog, particularly at digital retailer iTunes. And not only is Bey herself receiving an increase in downloads, Destiny’s Child, the girl group she reunited with during the game, are also getting some love via paid clicks.

As a solo artist, Beyonce is lacking a greatest hits package in her repertoire, and so its her most recent LP, 2011′s 4, that is leading the pack on iTunes’ Top Albums roundup (it’s at #14). That’s a bit surprising, given that, commerically, 4 failed to produce one Top 10 single during the album’s promo run. Stateside, it also sold less than half of the copies its certified triple-Platinum predecessor, 2008′s I Am… Sasha Fierce, did.

As mentioned, Bey and her Destiny’s Child pals Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams are also soaring on iTunes, as their #1s collection is nicely perched at #44. The trio stunned last night with an eye-popping performance of such past hits as “Independent Women” and “Bootylicious” — though strangely left out was brand new recording “Nuclear.”

After that, Beyonce’s debut solo offering Dangerously In Love (#48), the deluxe edition of I Am… Sasha Fierce(#66), the deluxe edition of 4 (#71) and the Playlist: The Very Best Of Destiny’s Child compilation (#84) are the next Mrs. Carter-related albums to get a sales boost.

Over at Amazon’s MP3 store, Destiny’s Child’s new Love Songs compilation is tops, at #41, followed by Beyonce’s I Am… Sasha Fierce at #51 and Dangerously In Love at #82.

As for individual songs on iTunes, Bey’s top one today is “Halo” — which seems fitting, given that the Internet is convinced...earing one after last night’s Super Bowl spectacle.

Below is the full breakdown of Beyonce and Destiny’s Child’s albums and songs that the masses are snatching up today on iTunes:
