I agree with what you are saying, but I don't think the kids know how much MJ was bullied by the tabloids... Isnt this the same show that Diane Dimond was on (or whatever her name is lol) that was saying all those awful stuff about MJ? It seems he is pretty serious about it, so I hope that it will go well for him. I hope someone uploads it on youtube lol....

Yeah, I also think he's got better things to do in life than to dig dirt on everyone on the internet. I think he will learn his lessons as he gets exposed to things and gets experience. I have already seen the short preview of it and I am starting to feel better about it. If he asks intelligent questions and handles it well (which I can imagine him to do), it will be good for him. I am rooting for him. I hope it does. I really like him a lot.

As for Paris, let her be a teenager now. lol Actually I think she has learnt her lesson a bit. She's not as much on the internet anymore.

maybe that's i should look at it, then. the best revenge for the likes of dimond and her ilk is to see mj's kids doing well and doing him proud. rise above it, just like their dad always tried to do. after all, it's mj who has the last laugh from heaven, as even his enemies are clamoring to be graced by his kids' presence. cool

^ yeah, knowing how mj was about making changes, he would feel that his kids would try to do the same in whichever area of interest they took on, and would be rooting for Prince trying to change the face of journalism haha okay I know it's just a small assignment, but he thinks big.

I don't know what to think of that Prince's new job. We don't have E, so I don't know how they work, but I can tell from the youtube clips, they were not good to MJ, but who has been? If his kids were about to avoid everyone who disrespected their dad, they might not be able to meet anyone. On the other hand I can understand that a person should have some dignity and not do certain things. Anyway, I guess I'll have to wait and see how it goes. I can imagine him being all serious with this so it might turn out actually well giving him credit he deserves.

Right.

There just KIDS. There not going to know how the media and people treated him before his passing.

That would be the responsibility of the Jackson gold digging family to enlighten the kids with BUT OF COURSE there not going to do that.

I wouldnt be surprised if Katherine and em encouraged Prince to be a E correspondent rolleyes.... He is JUST 16 damn years old nuts (No I am not implying he is not smart but its not really age appropiate to me and ET is a gossip/news show)

So his going to be giving his opinions on why Lindsey should or shouldnt go to jail???? lol

I mean c'monnn.... to me it just shows he just got the position because of who he is and not because it was based on some criteria/ background in journalism etc

I dunno... I LOVE Michael Jackson to bits lol . His kids are well mannered, attractive and smart but besides that I am not to fascinated by them (like alot of MJ fans are)... I am a fan of there father.. not them. So if this is something he wants to do than more power to him but I personally dont think its appopriate.

I'm not a fan either cause they haven't really done anything for me to care enough though I feel for them losing their dad and whatnot.

I hope they're not too misguided and that Prince is doing this for the right reasons.

Yeah, that's what I also thought, but maybe his role won't be to gossip, but just interview people about their films and if that's his area of interest that he knows something about, he may be actually good. I mean watching today's idiotic journalist, it might not be that hard to do if you know what you want to talk about and are actually well-spoken which Prince surely is. He may have found an area quite suitable cause by that preview it doesn't look like a total gossip and he probably won't make an idiot of himself by trying to get into more sophisticated theme that needs more knowledge and experience. So let's wait and see.

Does Paris still want to be an actress? Or a poser punk child? lol

I honestly thought she was going to end up on the Disney channel like Selena Gomez or Hannah Montana, but I didn't want her to get it cause of her name either, and also feel a Jackson has to do something outside the box! And I don't mean that Z list movie with Larry King she was supposed to do.

Well, many teenagers are experimenting with their looks or trying to look like their favourite stars and most teenagers also have NO IDEA what they wanna do at this age. I think the fact that she wants to be an actress and seems to be learning to play musical instruments is not a bad thing. She's got interests that again MOST young people lack today. Let's not expect them to be the next miracles like their father was. No genius has ever produced as talented offspring as they were. Or have you ever heard of new Einsteins etc?

Too misguided?

A 16 year old being a ET correspondent

Paris getting a movie gig at 14- 2 years after dad passed

MJ3 doing a bunch of exploitive interviews dued to Jackson family

Being shunned to see their grandmother (primary guardian) dued to Jackson family....

Its safe to say they ARE being misguided but its not there fault. (Its the dumbass adults in their life that are suppose to be guiding them)

I honestly think if MJ was here, NONE of this would be going on and alot of MJ fans always say"well you dont know that"!

Well your right I dont know that lol but based on MJ actions when he was alive, he tried to protect his children from the media and spotlight. I do believe he would have encouraged his kids to be what they wanted and aided in cultivating their talents but it probably would have been at the APPROPIATE TIME/age... not at no 14/15/16 yrs.

I dont care what nobody say Prince would not be no damn ET correspondent and Paris/Prince/Blanket would not have ever meant Oprah backstabbibg, lying, phooney Winfrey and you can take that to the bank

Alot of other stuff would not have occured such as Janets jealous undertones/misleading remarks and Katherine running to all these different news outlets and Ofah.

Of course they are being misguided by all those vultures that surrounded Mike. We just have to pray and see that they see through it very early on, but I don't think that a person in their position can be immune to that. Michael was also misguided and got burnt many times. LMP admitted to being used and having to run away from everything and everyone. I think once you are famous and have money, you will always attract these kind of people. I think you will never stop learning how to swim among them and not get hurt and they are still kids. I think it will be probably very hard for them to understand that many vultures are also within their family. Some have already shown their colors, some have not. It seems that they still trust some of them.

Yeah I agree. He may have brought them onstage at this is it as he planned and the masks would have been off. He may have taken the time in their teen years to teach them about the media and opened up about how they screwed him over at an age appropriate level, but have been robbed of it

Hey you guys smile

In connection with my friend who co-wrote "For The Record", I launched a tumblr page called "The Michael Jackson Archives", the same name as the website and facebook group

My friend Chris, (who co-wrote For The Record) is publishing a new book on Michael. I'll post the info about it when I get the thumbs up smile

I see it as the lesser of 2 evils. Before this gig, the family had these kids involved with the most sketchiest people. I was expecting at anytime for them to announce the kids would be doing a reality show or Prince would be going into business with one of the family's shady ass friends. But at least with this, Prince will be dealing with A-list celebs. I'll take that vs. Prince being taken to Germany for some z-list event where Latoya is the biggest celeb there. Or other depresssing pointless appearances.

Clive Davis Confirms: Michael Jackson Plotted to End Brother Jermaine’s Career

michael_and_jermaine (2)

In his wonderfully juicy new book, “Soundtrack of My Life,” Clive Davis — “the Man with the 45 RPM Ears” –confirms what has always been out there: Michael Jackson purposely tried to kill off brother Jermaine’s career. In the mid 80s, Davis signed Jermaine Jackson and had a couple of hits that still stand up: “Do What You Do” and “Tell Me I’m Not Dreaming.” Michael didn’t like this.

When Clive hired Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds and LA Reid in the late 1980s to produce Jermaine’s fourth album at Arista Records, Michael had enough, Davis says. The King of Pop tied up Babyface for his own projects, ripping him away from Jermaine. Clive writes: “Jermaine couldn’t believe that Michael, his close brother, would hijack his producers’ material this way.”At a dinner in Paris, Clive recalls, Jermaine was “crying, indeed sobbing at times, so deeply hurt that his brother would do this to him.”

The older brother was so angry that he wrote his infamous song, “Word to the Badd,” which denounced Michael as shallow and selfish. Michael responded by calling Davis and demanding he take the song off of Jermaine’s new album.

Davis was between a rock and a hard place, as they say. Jermaine leaked the track so the world could hear his bitterness. Clive “I felt it would be wrong for me to tell an artist to take a song off an album. This was a family and personal matter that they would need to resolve themselves.”

Eventually a watered down version of the song was officially released. Davis’s story lines up with the one told by Michael’s longtime pr man, the late Bob Jones, in his book with Stacy Brown.

I’m sorry: this is the petty side of Michael Jackson that his fans don’t like to hear about. But now we have the same story from two people who never knew each other–Bob Jones, and Clive Davis. Bob Jones wrote that Michael systematically destroyed the careers of Rebbe and Jermaine, and even LaToya, but wasn’t fast enough to stop Janet.

This isnt new, I think many fans know that MJ wasn't a saint but that doesn't make him a bad person, it makes him a business person... Yes it was kinda shady that he took jermaines producers( La REid and baby face) but I wouldn't be surprise if jermaine did something as well... I had the opportunity some years ago to read some letters sent by jermaine to MJ during these years and there was def something else going on in that family during those years that we know nothing about. Also MJ wasn't the jealous brother they are trying to make him, when he actually agreed to appear on 2 songs for a Jackson's album that was due in 1995...

I mentioned this on here a year and a half ago about how Mj sabotaged poor Jermaine. I was torned to shreads on here by the Mj fammies... biggrin

Yes, I know MJ fans don't like to acknowledge that part of his persona, and because they feel what Jermaine did with that song was worse... Its the same when people say things about Prince that aren't necessarily positive... I think it's better to be critical when it's appropriate than to view these artists above everyone else. They are humans just like everyone else on this planet and they make mistakes and also have problems with jealousy, greed, anger and insecurities. That's what makes humans perfectly imperfect...

I can't think of what MJ project Babyface might have been "tied up" in.

No one seems to clarify this this?

Michael was putting together "Decade" which would ultimately become 'Dangerous' during the period he recruited LaFace. Though I think he should have let Jermaine work with them at that time (Don't Take It Personal was brilliant and he would have done well in the 90's like Keith Sweat and Johnny Gill) and come back to them later, a lot of artists were working with them then and that's why he wanted to give them a try. He also wanted to work with Janet in the middle of Rhythm Nation which would mean working with Jimmy & Terry.

This thread isn't about prince. This is about The Jackson family including the beautiful Janet. eye try not to bring up the musical genius that plays, sings, produces, arranges, composes & struts his way on the grammy stage a few weeks ago & put the audience in a frenzy....rolleyes

Not to mention what MJ did to poor Janet behind her back with their "Scream" single.....rolleyes

Janet was pissed..

^ lowering her vocals and mixing them down as VIBE mentioned and janet saying it was about business with him? Is that what you're referring to? But michael, he wanted his baby sister to literally sound like his baby sister lol lol lol

I do have reason to believe that they grew apart after Scream though, but it mainly had more to do with Janet's personal issues at the time, and MJ may have not been good company for her then with all of his personal shit then.

nod

The reason Janet particpated in the "Scream" project was to show support for her brother, who was being shreaded apart in the tabloids. He needed her support & she delivered. Janet was arguably bigger than her brother @ the time. She was in top form during that period. Also in my opinion outshined him in the "Scream" video. She was so bad ass in it. I was so proud of her in that video. She was working it...lol

But like she said it was all business for MJ & he was not going to be outshined in vocals on that single...He made that very clear biggrin

Yes I know. He was still a big name though going through all that crap. She was crazy awesome in that video as was he, I instantly became her fan from it and the rest is history. I wasn't familiar with her work yet and just her name, though I was with several other Jacksons. Janet is just too awesome and I've recently been playing her and her remixes on heavy rotation again.

He rerecorded his vocals with flyte tyme cause he liked how she redid hers with jam & lewis or something from what I remember reading, and to me she sounded like him anyways though it sounded much stronger at the 2009 VMA's, whether lip synched or not.
