Chris Brown is a shitty person, but seriously why would he stand up for Frank Ocean?? I'm surprised he even clapped lol folks should be happy he didn't trip him or worse.

Chris Brown is an ignorant, ill mannered, no home training having niglet!

When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

Right now and probably for a while, nothing Chris does is going to go over well with the general public. He can't win for losing. Eventhough he applauded Frank with the rest of the audience, he's still being ridiculed for being a sore loser because he didn't give a standing ovation? That's some B.S. I guess the wussification of America is true. I guess he was supposed to be fake, stand and smile really big like he's just overjoyed that he didn't win and someone else did.

Not only that, the media concocted that whole story up with Adele out of thin air. When all the while she was complimenting him. How desperate and presumptuous is that?! Chris better wise up quick because all the media want is another tragic story. The paps already helped cause an accident Saturday. Get yo ish together boy.

I'm done. Besides, this is so last Sunday. razz lol

First of all, Frank's music is most certainly not plastic and should never even by lumped into a pile with Chris Brown's music because their styles, goals and audiences are sooooo different. The statement is just an insane throwaway and failed attempt at criticism, but let's get to your main argument...

Chris Brown showed class by clapping and didn't have to do that. He could have just sat there like MIguel did.

I'm not sure why Frank got a standing O. Channel Orange was refreshing and different and better than anything Chris Brown will ever make, but he's still proving himself. Plus considering Frank started the conflict with CB over petty nonsense, Chris Brown owed him nothing.

(why are people mentioning Frank's shitty performance? That was after the standing ovation for his grammy win and had nothing to do with it. Were there two ovations?)

I haven't watched the whole show to be honest, but I don't think an artist like Frank should get a standing ovation - just like I didn't think Adele deserved it either. They are not legends of any kind and just because you did an alright album and are a bit better than the average artist, that isnt really good - doesn't mean you are worth being mentioned with other greats. I want Frank to keep working on his craft and in some years perhaps he will be there, but he is not there today. I think Frank is a very gifted song-writer but he needs to work on his singing and his stage presence. Imagine if Prince had performed at the grammys and got a standing ovation in 1978-79? Wouldn't that had been kinda strange? (I'M NOT COMPARING PRINCE TO FRANK OR VICE VERSA lol, just putting it in a perspective on how the music industry is today).

I do think Channel Orange was better than "alright" and more than "a bit better than average" but yes, the industry should be careful about lioinizing these newbies so soon. Let them pay their dues.

If PRince got a standing O for a performance during his debut year it would have been quite odd, however Frank didn't really get a universal standing O for his performance. The Chris Brown sit-down was during his acceptance of the urban contemporary album award. I didn't mind that so much but I didn't understand why the hell it happened; it wasn't necessary. However, I guess people were just appreciating that he was able to break out of the mold in urban music.

After the Forest Gump performance there were a few scattered rows standing, but not most of the auditorium I know his mama and Odd Future were standing but most people seemed to be sitting down, blank faced like WTF -- as they should have been. lol

I applaud you for learning how to post and use the Internet given your clear lack of a brain.

Witch? Suck monkey mouth? NOt only do you lack the skill for criticism, but you like charm, wit and panache. It must truly be sad to be as pathetic with retorts as you are.
