Come on just cos it ain't got cool guitar riffs can you at least appreciate a melodic pop song that charts...even by artists you don't like?

yep so there are manufactured artists out there...but what about those who do it cos they love the music and the sheer entertainment factor of a good song...no politics...no religion.

i know its not just for the kids.

I don't hate all pop music, just most of it. Sometimes I listen to some pop music because it has no substance, it's just fun. Justin Timberlake, for example. Like I Love You was fluff, but it was fun.

Where I work we have the radio on 12 hours a day and listen to pop music constantly.It just doenst do much for me JMHO

The only pop music i hate is produced by the pathetic boybands like Westlife and from the manufactured tv shows like Pop Idols.If real music got a look in now and again on the tv i may not have such a problem with it but our kids are brought up on junk music as well as junk food.

Usually people with 3 or more working brain cells hate most pop music...not just prince fans

Not all pop music is bad. Despite them being manufactured or not having a great deal of talent like in vocal ability, some of their songs are cathcy,fun, simplistic. It's not like I'll have them on repaet constantly and I don't remember anything about their music a few minutes afterwards.

You can only hate ABBA, PSB, Erasure, Lightning Seeds...for the wrong reasons.

Nothing wrong with Pop Music as long as it is working on all elements that a Singer is Crediable&at the end of the day it's all about the Song.
