What Do U Guys Think Of Dave Hollister???

Personaly, I think he's one of the few RnB male vocalists who bring something new to the table. You could feel that he's very passionate about his work but whats sad is the brutha is awufly overlooked and underrated. I read in an interview that his new LP "Things In The Game Done Changed" will be his last LP. I loved "Ghetto Hymn"(sp?) 4 the simple fact that I see the issues he talked about in real life.

N E way,,,ur opinions about the brutha?

I dug Ghetto Hymns a lot, Chicago 85 overall, but the latest one (Things in the game...) is weak, nothing memorable to be found IMO.

He, K-Ci & JoJo and Calvin Richardson have always said they'd re-join together to record gospel again one day...

dave hollister is a great singer with a helluva soulful voice and if things in the game done changed will be his last album ima miss him... if u really dig him then check out the boyz n the hood soundtrack... back then he was in a group called force 1n network and they did a dance/gospel tune calle "spirit" (do u really care?)

Dave Hollister is tha mothafuckin' bombdiggitybomb! Blackstreet sucks since he left, just listen to the song Before I Let Go. A classic. That first Blackstreet album is a classic due to Dave only. Tha brotha will always be underrated and unappreciated because the general public wants what popular. Popular don't equal good. Ghetto Hymn, off tha chain. My favortie Dave Hollister cut will always be Take Care of Home. Also, it takes a real man to show his real self. Putting his wife and kids in his videos is a big plus. It kills me that LL, Ja Rule, DMX, Genuwine, etc., etc., surround themselves with video hoes and not there wives...sorry. Going off on a tangent there!

If I was them then neither way. I wouldn't put hoes becoz thats disgrace AND I wouldn't put my family in front of that camera cuz its too personal. I would try hard to get them away from those flashy lights.

Besides, all those guys families are in the public eye anyway. We all know how each of every one of them wives and kids look.

Your building him up as being a perfect human, he was living like the first album, apologised to his wife and family second album yet closed his website's messageboard down when stories of his touring activities started getting revealed. The third LP is just poor and nobody cared...

As far as the touring stories go, I have no idea because I don't get that deep in any celebrity's life.

I got it second hand from those who used his board regularly, just making the point that fronting for the cameras doesn't count for much if you don't back it up on the day to day...

The Brother Can Sing/Sang&Groove like a Alexender O'Neal on both Slow&up-tempo Material.Tank&JaHeim owe Hollister some Dap on what He has brought to the table IMHO.but the Problem with Dave for Me are the Lyrics&Content after a while.the Cat has a Diamond of a Voice but a Cracker Jack Ring of Material most of the time IMHO&sooner or later when the two don't jive right with the Audeince Talented or Not nobody is gonna Buy into it.
