Get On Down has been released special edition re-releases of classic albums in the last few years, including the acclaimed "Purple Tape" boxset re-release of Raekwon's seminal Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... album, and recently a record-needle styled USB drive of DJ Nu-Mark's Brooklyn Sunlightalbum.

Just recently, they unveiled details of an upcoming Deluxe Gold Edition of Nas' classic Illmatic debut. A release date was unknown at press time. Head over to GetOnDown.com for updates.

- A reproduction of the original 1994 illmatic press release.

VINYL SET
- Vinyl LP packaged with full lyric insert
- 48 page full-color, hard cover liner notes book including extended artwork, full album lyrics and liner notes from The Source founder Jon Shecter.

- Two 8 x10 glossy promo photo's used in the illmatic campaign

Weren't there bonus tracks on the 2001 special edition? Wasn't particularly a fan of those.

What the hell did I but a few years ago, that wasn't a deluxe? And I know nothin' of a deluxe release of Cuban Linx though ... someone fill me in!

Yeah. And Nas' doesn't have bonus tracks either, but audiophile remastering on gold discs.
